"W-what?" Ashley frowned.

Draco rubbed his face tiredly, mentally preparing himself for a fight.

"Where are you going?" Ashley demanded, blocking the doorway. He couldn't leave her. Not now.

"Away." His voice cracked from exhaustion. He had prepared for this ever since they were last at his house. He couldn't do this anymore; he grew to fear for her too much.

"Away where?" She asked violently, clenching her fists and stepping forward.

"I have to leave school...to keep you safe." Draco looked at her.

"Hah!" She scoffed, "That is the lamest thing I've ever heard!"

"Is it?" He scolded her. "Voldemort knows about you!"

Ashley stopped suddenly, every muscle, every fiber in her body froze with fear. Her mind reeled. He knew about her? What was she supposed to do? She was only safe in the castle walls, how would she ever leave?

"H-he saw you, in my mind." Draco told her, "I couldn't block you out well enough."

There was silence. Draco took a seat on a chair, leaning back as clothes fell from the back and onto the floor. He looked at them blankly, stung by the reality of what he had to do.

"It's not because I don't want to be with you anymore." He said softly, "But we can't be in the same place, it's too easy. We both know I can't carry out with my task."

"But your safe here." Ashley argued weakly. "Dumbledore, and McGonagall, they would protect us."

"We graduate in three months." He looked up at her. "That's nothing. He'll be on us as soon as our last final is finished. I need those three months to lead him away from you."

"What about your mother?" Ashley asked, her legs growing weak as she slumped against the wall.

"She's already gone." He answered her, looking out his window to the dark sky, "She's probably gone with Bellatrix, if not home already."

"They're still investigating." Ashley told him, "She wouldn't have been allowed to go back."

"Then she's with my aunt, or somewhere else." Draco looked at his hands, "Bellatrix will keep her away from the media."

"You can't leave." Her voice cracked, "I need you."
