She could hardly get into the Common Room; the crowd was so thick that the only thing keeping it from spilling out was the Lady's portrait, pushing her farther into the crowd as it closed behind her.

"Excuse me, sorry." She apologized as she squeezed through. As she neared, the shouting got louder. Tiptoeing to look over people's heads, it become apparent the culprits of the attraction had a bush of brown locks and a face that was redder than his flaming hair.

"Ashley!"

She felt herself being jerked towards the fireplace.

"Harry!" She exclaimed, "What the bloody hell?"

"I know, they just boiled over...and now...this!" He winced, gesturing to them.

"How long has this been going for?" Ashley questioned.

"I dunno, fifteen minutes or so...they've been completely oblivious to all of us watching." Harry answered.

She turned away from Harry to squeeze through more of the people to get a closer view, Harry not far behind her.

"I'M DONE WITH YOU RONALD!" Hermione said.

"DONE WITH ME ARE YOU? WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT!" Ron shot back.

"What are they fighting about?" Ashley whispered to Harry.

"It seems they're just venting, for the moment. Nothing in particular has been screamed yet." Harry mumbled, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion, "They're bound to break any moment."

"But they're at each other's throats." Ashley addressed.

"They will-'' Harry started.

"I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I WASTED MY TIME ON YOU! I THOUGHT THAT MAYBE YOU WOULD'VE GROWN UP BY NOW RONALD-''

"GROWN UP?" Ron roared in disbelief, "ME? DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON GROWING UP! ESPICALLY WITH YOU AND VIKTOR, FOLLOWING HIM AROUND LIKE A LITTLE SCHOOL GIRL-''

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BRING UP VIKTOR? THAT WAS TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO!" Hermione hissed.

"YOU ONLY DID IT TO MAKE ME JEALOUS!"

"AS IF YOU DIDN'T SNOG LAVENDER TO MAKE ME JEALOUS!"

A girl with brown hair looked rather dejected as she walked out of the crowd, another girl called after her.

"AND AS IF YOU DIDN'T DATE KRUM TO MAKE ME JEALOUS!"

"IT TAKES A REAL PRAT TO NOT HAVE NOTICED THAT!"

"WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST TELL ME?" He shouted.

"IT'S LIKE TALKING TO A WALL RONALD, IN ONE EAR AND OUT THE OTHER!" Hermione yelled back.

Hermione gasped for breath, her shoulders sagging in exhaustion as she continued to fight.

"It's not like you cared anyway, Ron. Anything and everything...in one...out the other." Hermione croaked. She looked exhausted, as if she had been arguing with Ron for hours. Her eyes were full of tears that kept spilling out, over and over again, with a new batch springing every few seconds.

Ron's shoulders slumped; it was obvious that he was tired too.

"I've been waiting for six years Ronald. Six years for you to wake up and realize that I've liked you for so long. But I can't waste my time hoping that you'll realize it. I'm not going to chase you around for the rest of my life." Hermione whispered, rubbing her throat.
