Chapter 7: The One Who Destroys

Y/N fell to the ground, blood gushing from his body from the attack he took. The others were screaming out his name. Noelle had fallen near him. She had taken some of the blow, but her life wasn't in any danger. Mimosa was fine and immediately rushed to heal Y/N and Noelle, "This is the most powerful spell I've got. Plant Recovery Magic: Princess-Healing Flower Robe." As she began healing them, the Diamond mage started attacking again. Asta managed to break free from the previous spell and stopped the enemy from attacking them. However, the enemy started using Mineral Magic: Harpe to strike Asta down before he could negate the magic. Asta groaned in pain as one of the attacks pushed him through the wall. The Diamond mage continued his assault, but changed his target back to Noelle, Mimosa, and Y/N. As the blades were about to strike them, Asta appeared and stopped the attacks with a new anti magic sword. This one was smaller and made it easier for Asta to swing it around.

Asta continued to deflect the attacks, trying to search for an opening to negate the enemy's recovery magic. Just then, Noelle regained consciousness, "What the hell are you doing you stupid insect? Why are you wasting so much time fighting this guy? You're the first commoner that I've ever acknowledged, so you better make sure you don't lose. Got it, Asta?!" Asta was surprised by her words and then noticed that the sword became filled with magic. He grinned, "I got it." He charged towards the enemy. The Diamond mage said, "What can you do? You don't have magic!" Asta gritted his teeth, "I may not have any magic, but I do have friends." He slashed the sword, causing a water attack to emerge and douse the flam recovery spell that the enemy was using. The others were amazed. Klaus thought, 'How is that possible? I thought he didn't have any magic. Did he...borrow Noelle's magic?" Before anyone could celebrate, Asta coughed up blood, realizing that he had been impaled. Yuno screamed, "Asta!!" The enemy mage got back up and rushed to finish off Asta, who had passed out from the pain. Yuno managed to free himself using his wind magic, 'He's too far away. There isn't a spell in my grimoire that can reach him in time.' Suddenly, the world seemed to slow down. Yuno looked around a saw a strange little girl with wings floating near him. She was rubbing her eyes as if though she had just woken up. Then she turned to the Diamond mage and let out a small blow. In reality, it was a strong wind attack that completely destroyed the enemy's armor and knocked him out. With the enemy mage defeated, the binding spell broke and freed the others.

Y/N was in a dreamlike state as the others fought. He could hear what was happening in the real world, but he experienced something different in his mind. While unconscious, he saw several people wearing white robes walking around and talking to each other. He didn't recognize the place, but it seemed to be some sort of forest. As for the people, he couldn't tell. Their faces were all blurred, as if though they weren't real. Yet, he felt as if though he knew the, from somewhere. Slowly, the forest and people began to disappear. He then heard a voice whisper, "Save them."

Y/N let out a gasp as he regained conscious. He looked around and was surrounded by his cheering friends. Y/N rubbed his head, "What happened?" Asta smirked, "Me and Yuno managed to defeat that pale Diamond dude." Mimosa frowned, "Too bad we didn't get the treasure." Y/N stared for a minute before he felt something. He opened his grimoire and summoned Draco Gladio, "Sword Magic: Draco Gladio." Three dragons emerged from the hilt and went in the direction where Y/N pointed them. The dragons hit a smoke wagon as it was leaving the area, causing several large bags to drop down on the floor. Luck looked as the wagon disappeared, "Oh, hey. It's that old dude from the Diamond Kingdom. Guess he was trying to steal the treasure." Klaus fixed his glasses' position, "It would appear so. Well, thanks to Y/N, he wasn't able to get the treasure. We should take it to the Clover Kingdom. But first..." He hugged Yuno, Y/N and Asta tightly, "I'm sorry. I looked down on the three of you for being commoners, but you have proven yourselves to be remarkable Magic Knights." Asta started complaining about Klaus hugging him too tightly, causing him to spit up blood.
