Chapter 5: Dungeon Mission

Y/N and Yuno were eating their breakfast when Klaus came up to them with Mimosa. Klaus said, "Listen up you two. Once you're done with your breakfast. Get ready. We've got an important mission." Yuno and Y/N nodded in understanding. The four of them got on their brooms and started flying towards the location they were sent. Yuno asked, "So what is this mission of ours?" Klaus said, "We've been asked to explore a dungeon on the border of the Clover and Diamond Kingdoms and retrieve its treasure." Yuno was confused, "What's a dungeon?" Klaus scoffed in annoyance. Y/N said, "Don't mind him. Dungeons are basically just large underground buildings that are filled with treasures from ancient times. They often have incredibly powerful magic, so it's important that it doesn't end up in enemy hands. It's also very dangerous, so we better stay safe." Yuno nodded, "Thanks. I get it now." After a long flight, the four of them arrived at the dungeon. As they entered, Mimosa said, "I sense someone's mana inside. They might be enemies." Klaus fixed his glasses, "Maybe. But it also might be the Black Bulls. I heard that they sent a team of three members to capture the dungeon too." They rushed inside the dungeon, heading towards the mana they sensed, in case it was an enemy. Once they arrived to the room where the mana was coming from, they saw Noelle and Asta being trapped by a plant. Y/N frowned, "It seems that Lady Noelle still hasn't been able to control her magic." He was about to help them when Yuno used his wind magic to slash the plant apart. Asta and Noelle fell onto the floor. Yuno smirked, "I've repaid my debt, Asta!" Asta smiled back, "Yuno!!" The four of them came down to meet the Black Bulls. Klaus began insulting them. Mimosa began making light conversation with Noelle. Asta asked, "Hey Noelle, do you know her?" Noelle said, "She's my cousin. This is Mimosa Vermillion." Y/N waved at her, "It's nice to see you again Lady Noelle." Noelle turned to him, "Oh, I remember you. You were that boy that came by that one time with Lady Mereoleona. It has been some time." Asta asked, "You know him too?" Noelle nodded, "Yes, we met briefly when we were younger. It was only once, but he made quite an impression, so I remembered after all this time." Klaus continued to insult the Black Bulls, dragging Asta into the argument. Klaus smirked and called for Mimosa to make a map of the dungeon and Yuno to create a spell to carry them all. Y/N summoned a sword and slashed through the obstacles that were in their way. Klaus smirked, "Now those Black Bulls know the power of the Golden Dawn." Y/N said, "Why are you acting so smug? You haven't done anything but order us around." Klaus glared at him before resuming to look forward, "Those Black Bulls, what a bunch of ruffians. And what's with that boy? I didn't sense any magic coming from him. What fools they were to come to this dungeon. They'll most likely die here." Yuno said, "Don't underestimate Asta. He's stronger than you think." Klaus scoffed at the idea. Y/N said, "Makes sense. He's your childhood friend right? Guess it's natural that he's as amazing as you." Yuno was surprised at the compliment and looked away to hide his blush. 

After a few minutes, the four of them arrived at the dungeon's treasure hall. Klaus smirked, "We've arrived. And no sign of the Black Bulls. No surprise there." Y/N said, "You still didn't do a single thing on the way here." Klaus yelled, "That's not the point. Well, we might as well start gathering the treasure." Mimosa approached the door, but was attacked by minerals that emerged from the ground. The three boys called out to here. Klaus looked behind them and was shocked to see a Diamond soldier approaching. Mimosa opened her grimoire to cast a healing spell on herself, "Plant Recovery Magic: Dream-Healing Flower Cradle." Klaus frowned, "How did he manage to sneak up on us? He even managed to avoid Mimosa's high level mana detection. Who are you?" The mage didn't respond. Klaus pointed to him, "You scoundrel! You attacked a woman from behind! Is that the act of a warrior?!" The mage said, "I don't understand. They're all the same. Pebbles by the wayside." He launched another mineral attack. Y/N summoned his grimoire, "Sword Magic: Terra Gladio." He summoned a brown sword with a large, rounded point and used it to smashed the minerals that attacked him. Some of the minerals began heading for Mimosa. Klaus managed to protect her, "Steel Creation Magic: Full Metal Fortress." Klaus said, "Yuno, Y/N, back me up. We shall show this Diamond bastard the power of the Clover Kingdom." The two of them nodded. The soldier continued launching attacks, not even bothering to use his grimoire. Y/N groaned, "Damn. I don't have the time to get another sword. I need a chance to break through." Klaus yelled, "Yuno, Y/N!! While I'm fighting him, you two go get the treasure hall!" They were shocked. Yuno said, "He's tough. If you fight him without backup, even you won't..." Klaus yelled back, "It doesn't matter!! Just go!! Frankly, I'd rather not leave this to peasants like you!!! Still, this is for the sake of our country!! Fulfill our duty!!" Yuno and Y/N rushed back. Klaus watched them, giving the Diamond soldier to break through his defenses. However, Yuno destroyed the minerals using his wind magic. Y/N opened his grimoire to summon a second sword, "Sword Magic: Draco Gladio." He summoned a black sword with five dragon heads that were part of the hilt. Klaus looked back, "Why did you come back? Right now, your priority is the mission..." Yuno said, "No. My priority is...my friends!!" Y/N scratched his neck, "Damn. You're making me look bad Yuno. I'll back you two up. I'll protect Mimosa." Y/N tightened his grip of his two swords.
