"Tom, baby, wake up." Jake said. He nudged his arm, to which Tom responded by rolling over. He pulled a pillow over his head.

"Jus' five more minutes." He mumbled.

"You said that ten minutes ago." Jake chuckled, taking the pillow away from him. "Come on. Get up." He hit him playfully with the cushion.

Tom groaned and pushed it off of him. He rolled his eyes as he sat up straight. He rubbed his eyelids and yawned. "Why do I even have to be up anyways?" He questioned still sleepy. "It's the weekend."

Jake placed his hands on his hips, mouth slightly parted. "I can't tell if your joking or not."

"Why would I be joking?"

"Meeting my family? Bar? Trivia night?" he listed. "Ring a bell?"

Tom mentally slapped himself in the face. He remembered bits and pieces of their conversation last night, but he was too tired to retain any of it.

Jake sighed. "If you don't want to go-"

"What? No, of course I want to go baby." Tom interrupted. "I just forgot."

"Are you sure? I know you get nervous when-"

Tom stopped him again. "I'll be fine." He gave him a pity smile. Truth is, he was extremely nervous about meeting his family. His gut was feeling tight with anxiety just thinking about it.

Jake leaned over the bed, sitting on his knees. He laid his head on Tom's leg. Tom ran his fingers through his hair as he scrolled through his phone. The two stayed like that for a few minutes, simply just enjoying each other's company.

"What time do we need to start getting ready?" Tom asked.

"Uh," Jake checked his phone, lifting his head off of Tom's lap. "We got about three hours."

"Then why the fuck did you wake me up so early?"

"Maybe I just missed you." Jake said, kissing him.

Tom kissed back, wrapping his arms around his neck. Jake moved up onto the bed, and continued kissing him until the back of Tom's head was pushed up against the headboard. He began running his fingers through his messy brown hair.

Tom smiled, and broke the kiss. He licked Jake's nose, knowing he hates that.

"Gross babe." Jake huffed, wiping his face.

"And that's for waking me up."

Jake smirked at him, and kissed him on the cheek. He got up off the bed. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"Since when do you cook?"

"Since forever." He laughed.

Even though Tom had spent the night at his place many times, not once has he offered to cook for him. Mainly because they never had time to eat. So they usually just ended up grabbing take out.

"Surprise me then." Tom replied. "I'm going back to sleep." He pulled the comforter over him, and rolled over, closing his eyes.

Jake smiled. Tom was the cutest, especially in the mornings. He walked into the kitchen and turned on the stove to medium heat. He decided to make an omelette with cut up fruit, seeing that it was a healthier option. He washed his hands in the sink before starting.

He took an egg carton out of the refrigerator. He removed six eggs. Three for him, three for Tom. He began to mush them lightly with a fork. Next, he pulled out a skillet from the pantry, and slid the eggs onto it.

While waiting for the eggs to cook, he pulled out fresh fruit from the refrigerator. Specially, an apple, a bundle of grapes, and watermelon. He began by running water over all the fruit in the sink. Then, he began cutting the apple and watermelon into smaller slices. As he was cutting he heard the sound of sizzling coming from the stove.

"Shit!" He gasped. He quickly turned off the stove, and set the skillet aside to cool off. He then returned to his fruit cutting, placing the fruit neatly onto the side of his plate. He did the same for Tom.

He got a spatula from the utensils drawer and slid the now mushed eggs onto his and Tom's plates. Before closing the omelettes, he placed ham, tomatoes, and lettuce inside them. He neatly placed the entrees at the dining table, and smiled to himself. He could get used to this, cooking everyday for the two of them.

He poured them both a glass of water before stepping back and admiring his work. He walked back into the bedroom, chuckling to himself as Tom's snoring got louder.

"Baby." He whispered, shaking him awake. "Breakfast is ready."

Tom didn't budge, as expected. Jake didn't feel like fighting with him about this again, so he lifted the bedsheet off of him. He picked him up bridal style, and carried him to his chair.

Tom didn't mind being carried, he didn't feel like walking at the moment anyways. As he sat down in his seat, life slowly made its way back into his body as the phenomenal smell of food drifted into his nostrils.

"This smells so good baby." He exclaimed, picking up his fork. He mentally moaned as that first bite of food washed over him.

Jake sat across from him, beginning to dig into his as well. He watched as Tom devoured his omelette rather quickly. "Eat slower. No need to get a stomach ache." He laughed.

"Okay mum." He replied. He picked up his glass of water feeling dehydrated. He sat it back down on the table, and began going through his phone. His stomach was feeling a little tight from eating too fast, so he decided to digest before eating his fruit.

"What do I need to wear for this?" He asked, looking up from his phone.

"Something casual. Nothing too fancy." He checked his watch. "We still have about an hour though."

Tom began eating his fruit. "Do you want to take a shower before we go?"

Jake nodded his head. He stood up and cleared his dishes off the table while Tom finished eating his. "I'll start the shower." He started to walk out of the kitchen.

"Wait." Tom said grabbing onto his arm. He stood up and wrapped his arms around his waist. He stared into his eyes before kissing him. "Thank you for making me breakfast."

Jake smiled. "Of course." He kissed back, tasting the sweet taste of Tom's lips and the fruit that had stained them.
