Chapter 9 Pageant time

"Honey we only have five hours before the pageant you need to practice" said my mom, as she pushed dresses into my hands

"But mom, I don't want to do it" I whined, Alec's gonna know it's me

"Honey it's gonna be fun, come on, the choreographer is here to work with you on your dance" she said

"But what if someone notices me" I asked

"We will change your hair colour back to normal, now go practice" she said

"Fine" I sighed and was whisked of too practice

Four hour later, I memorized and perfected my talent portion which is dance, I loved to dance as a kid so I knew how to do a few types of dances, after that I tried millions of costumes for the talent, beauty, and brains portion, then I was quizzed on literally every known topic in the world

"We only have an hour" said my mom

"Stephanie come, she's your make up and hair stylist " said my mom,

"Mom, I think I can do my own make up" I said

"It has to be perfect" she argued and pushed me into a chair while Stephanie started on my makeup and hair, Finally an hour later she finished

"Thank you" I said as I got up

"Your welcome" she said before leaving the room

"Honey put on your beauty dress, we have to leave" my mom said handing me my dress before leaving

"Okay" I said

I quickly put on the dress and observed my self in the mirror , my hair was back to normal, it felt weird to have my natural colour back, my makeup was done perfectly, I had a winged eyeliner and light blue eyeshadow and a light pink lipstick, my dress reached mid thigh and had a sweetheart neckline, the top was belonged out going from blue to white jewels and at the waist it puffed out and was only white fabric, I put on my blue bracelet and grabbed my purse and went out

"Honey you look gorgeous, lets go your other dresses are in the car, chop chop we only have half an hour to get there and it's 25 minutes away" said my mom and we rushed to the car

"Where are dad and eve" I asked my mom and she drove to the pageant

"They left earlier" she said just as we pulled in to the place

"Hurry you only have 5 minutes to be on stage" said my mom

"Okay, I'll go" I said

"Remember this part is you only saying your name and hobbies, after your done meet me in your dressing room, I'll bring your costumes" said my mom, I switched my converse for silver heels and raced off to the stage

I was running when I rammed into someone, I was gonna fall but the person caught me

"I'm so sorry" I said

"It's fine" said the person and I looked up to see Alec

"So what your name" he asked

"Chloe, you" I asked even though I knew it already

"My names Alec, I have a friend that named Chloe actually" he said

"Really how is she" I asked

"She's nice, caring, funny and sweet, she's an amazing girl" he said, he felt like that about me

"Cool" I said just as the announcer said announced contestant number one

"I gotta go, I'm number 3" I said

"Okay, good luck I'll see you later" he said and rushed back stage

"Welcome contestant number 3, Chloe Hastings" said the announcer, I think his name is Jeff, and I walked on stage with a bright smile,

"Hi Chloe tells us a little bit about your self" he asked

"We'll I'm 14 years old, i have one sister and I love to dance" I said

"Thank you very much" he said and I walked off stage, that was really easy

"How many people are there here" I asked a girl who looked like she was in the pageant

"Only 20" she said before walking off

Okay I probably have like 20 minutes till the next part, I though as I rushed to my changing room

"Hurry get changed" said my mother as she passed me my dance costume, it was a pair of black shorts, black skirt, black sheer tights, black tank top, with a neon green leather jacket and green and black fingerless gloves, my dance was gonna start of peaceful with me wearing the shorts skirt and top but when the song goes crazy I rip off the skirt and put on the leather jacket, I'm so worried for my big spin part, I was supposed to spin around 12 times before dropping and that's where I would rip off the skirt and put on the jacket, but I'm only able to spin that many times on occasions

"Where are my shoes" I asked my mom as I hung up my dress and began to put my hair in a high ponytail

"Here" she said as she handed me a pair of simple black shoes

I grabbed my make up wipes and took out my eyeliner and eye shadow

"Here's your makeup" said my mom as she passed me a eyeliner pencil and green eyeshadow

I quickly did my make up and put on my shoes before running off to the stage, I went back stage and saw plenty off girls warming up and practicing their talents, some were singing others dancing, even a few jugglers which I found a little weird

"Welcome contestant number 2 Ivy" said the announcer

And a girl got on stage she struck a pose and the music began, she was doing a ballet dance, and from what I see she was pretty amazing, she spun so many times I could keep track, that's gonna be hard to beat

"Good job Ivy now please welcome contest number 3 Chloe" he said

We'll wish me luck cause right now I'm either gonna highly embarrass myself or amaze people either way I'm freaked out
