As he asked that question he tilted his head slightly to the left. He was genuinely confused. I blurted out, "Lets go to my place, we can pack a small bag and we can get the fuck out of here." He stepped back in front of me as to be intrigued by my plan. He looked at me with a raised eyebrow and pointed a lazy finger at me. He said, "you would go with me?" I said, "Yes, lets run away. Get out of this sad excuse for a home." He shook his head eagerly, as to say "yes please!"
I slid my hand into his and at first he was hesitant to grab mine, then he held my hand back. I don't know why i felt the need but i had to keep this boy close. We jogged up the stairs and headed back to my sad apartment. When we got to my "home" I grabbed my key out my pocket. Will leaned on the wall beside me as i struggled to unlock the door.
Once I got the door open we stepped in. The floor of my apartment was covered in random things that have fallen in my possession. The ceiling sagged and the light fixture hung there, looking as if it wanted to fall. I grabbed a suitcase i found in my closet and started shoving clothes, toothbrushes and other things i thought Will and i would need on our escape. I looked over at Will, who was picking at his nails leaned up against my door frame, looking at the rusting hinges of where a door used to be. I.asked if we needed to pick up clothes for him from wherever he stayed. He responded with a, "i suppose we could do that."
I finished packing up. I grabbed 2 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of sweatpants and 4-5 random shirts and any other clothing items i thought i would need. I threw some toothbrushes and tooth paste in a bag and sloppily tossed it in the suitcase. I grabbed some snacks and found my phone and the charger on the floor and threw those in there too. I grabbed my watch and my pocket knife, and slid them in a pocket, zipped the suitcase up and we headed out the door.
Will was waiting for me on a unstable stool by my door. I grabbed my last bit of money which was £32.47 off my counter and slammed the door behind us. We walked down the steps of my apartment building and i decided to throw my key down on a counter in the front area. The cold metal flying out of my hand felt amazing. It crashed against the waxed wood and I left it there. I don't live there anymore.
Will took it upon himself to grab my hand this time and walk me to where he stayed. He warned me that he had roommates that might be there. We stepped in and i kept my head down as he lead me to his room. Once we got to his room he grabbed a brown duffel bag from the top of a closet and threw 2 pairs of sweat pants in it at first. Then packed 2 pairs of jeans, a belt, 3 pairs of socks 3 shirts and some other things that he told me to turn around for so he could pack them. I didn't mind. Because i soon got distracted by a photo of a pretty woman on the nightstand.
He went into the bathroom and yelled from there, "you grabbed toothbrushes right?" I responded with a loud enough, "yes!" He grabbed a hat from a nail in the wall that looked as if anymore force was put on it, it would just fall. Then eventually a hair brush. I looked at the picture of the lady again. Will noticed this time. He ran around the bed and grabbed the photo in the delicate frame. He opened the near by window and dropped it out. The frame shattered.
He gave the destroyed frame a proud look. "Congrats." I said, assuming she was a ex girlfriend. Will laughed and said, "after seeing you throw that key, and how desperate you were to get out of there, i am excited to go with you." Those were funny words but i liked it. He feels free. He looks hopeful. 2 hours ago he tried to commit. Now we are running away with each other to god knows where. Will grabbed £40 from a nightstand drawer and shoved it deep in his pants pocket and gave me a "are you sure?" Sort of look. I nodded.
In the kitchen and he grabbed his phone charger and packed it in his bag. He also grabbed a note book off the counter and said, "when we leave can we burn this?" In a quick tone. I said, "oh of course!" in a slightly happy sounding manner. "Who's this will?" I heard a voice say from a recliner in the next room. "Oh, this is my friend." Will Responded will in a low, manly-ish way. "Oh yeah?" Said the voice. "Are you sure hes not a boyfriend?" "Yes, Noah. He is just my friend. We are heading out for a bit." Said Will in a faster, more worried tone. We made our way to the door. Will and i grabbed our bags and headed back to the train station.
We passed a few rejected shopping carts on the way. Will shoved one into brick building, the metal on brick made a loud crash noise and people started looking at us. So we ran the rest of the way to the station. We reached the train station. Panting, i looked up at Will and said, "are you sure you can go back down there? If you can't i can find us another way to go." "No" Will said, "I can do it." He slung his duffel bag over his left shoulder while i was on his right. I put my suitcase in my right hand and we walked down the steps. We bought our tickets. Our money we had left combined was £58.32 we are most likely screwed.
But, we will get out of here. We stepped up, and waited for the train. I squeezed Will's hand. Making sure he wouldn't try again. He looked down and said, "I promise. I wont do it." I looked up and said, "you better not."Ahhh! 16 reads!! Thank you so much!!!!!
