Imploding
Crumbling to pieces like the foundation of a building
Structure, once so sturdy and tall, has been shaken so hard it's finally beginning to fall
A structure cracked and worn with time, small quakes creating the damage running through it's spine
Despite all the cracks and shaken foundation, it's bones remained sturdy, unmoving, never breaking
Everyone around made testing it's strength into a game, jumping around inside, taking a bat to it's frames
For years upon years, more cracks did form, as their games they played left the building a little worn
It was one fateful group, one massive earthquake of a game, that tore it apart until it would never be the same
They left it with glee, not a care in the world, as the foundation of this building finally began to stir
The inner framework, shaken to it's core, wobbled and splintered, for the weight was too much to endure
A devastating crash, so loud and chaotic, there was no one around able to stop it
So everyone fled as this building gave way, the very same building they used to test everyday
They wore it down, damaged and destroyed it, but when the reckoning came, no one stuck around for it
This building isn't a building, but a metaphor, you see, for this imploding building is metaphor for me
