The silence was creepy, long and uncomfortable. Everybody could feel something off and was trying to find the answer in each others face, but nothing came up .They knew something is off about her casual tone but they brush it off, thinking she has always been the odd one.
Nial twists around to see Alek, Raj and Nyla having same sour expression as him except for Avni, she was calm,way too calm for his liking and her own behaviour.
Ahm! " Avni?!..." Nial looks at others before continuing," How do you know who the box belonged too" Avni's cocks her brow in amusement.
" Oh Come on Nial! How could you forget, Crime runs in my blood, Atleast now" Avni mutters bitterly before her eyes turns soft,"Even if You don't see me like that doesn't mean others don't. I forever will be nothing than just a criminal" Nial enterwines their fingers and brushes her knuckles softly.
" Avni! Don't think..." A ring interrupts Nial's words. Everybody looks towards it to find Alek frowning at his phone.
" Alekh what happened ?! Whose call is it?!" Nyla asks.
" Aiko?!"Alek whispers still looking concerned. Its not unusual for his sister to call him but she really doesn't call randomly for chat." Hello?!! Aiko..." Everybody sees Alek's cautious expression turning into worry,"Shhh!!! AIKO!!!! calm down?!! First calm down..Aiko please stop crying and tell me what..." Alek's eyes widen in fear," Ma!!! What Ma?! Aiko

" Alek put it on speaker" Alek nods at Nyla and puts the phone on speaker. Soon a panicked voice fills the car .
" ALEK !!! She isn't picking up my call... I .. I tried so many times...she never does. It's been a whole morning bhaiya" A soft and childlike voice echoes around. Everybody could hear her voice trembles as she tries to calm her sobs down,"I Am Telling Something Is Wrong What if??!!What if?!!!please Alek gobto mom. I know it's too much to ask from you but please I don't have anybody other than you. Please I need your help'. I'll forever be grateful! Please Alek" Aiko begs,crying hysterically, begging and sobbing. Everybody was worried for her condition, she was sounding weak but Alekh was angry.
" Aiko!!just stop it. first of all. She is my mother too so I don't need your plea to help her or take care of her" Alekh raises his voice with hurt and anger.
"Alek?!!..." Aiko sniffles.
" DON'T AIKO?! i don't want to say something that might ruin everything. " Alek spats ,"Not now! And because i am her son I'll check on her , so stop...."
" Better keep you tongue in!!! Captain Alek Warren" A sharp voice booms on the speaker, his American accent quite visible," YOU DON'T GET TO TALK TO HER LIKE THAT. " Everybody's brows climbs in question while Alek narrows his eyes on the phone, already going into his brother mode.
" Who the hell are you and what are you doing with my sister" Alek questions sharply.
" Alek?!!" Aiko whispers
" I don't think you are worth to know who I am but let me make this very clear to you. This woman by my side never begs and if she has done, you should be grateful for it. SO BETTER WATCH YOUR LITTLE UNGRATEFUL MOUTH BEFORE I HAD TO RIP IT APART" All could hear Aiko gasps as the man threatens Alek.
Everybody's eyes widens with emotions. There was suprise, astonishment, anger and worry. It's not everyday, you get to see someone threatening Alek and its not everyday you get hear such a cold voice. Something that matches well with Alek. Its like the one person who can finally stand before Alek has arrived just a little difference is- there is his sister in middle.
