Chapter 31:- Refusal

MAK 2 days later

A loud scream wakes Raj up, he looks around to find himself laying under an abandoned bridge with his cloths partially drenched from the small stream flowing under him. He gets up abruptly feeling the cool breeze on him but making him suffocated and breathless. Raising his wobbly hand, he wipes the sweat off his head and scan his environment only to find himself in the middle of a dark forest. The night was moonless and the forest was silent. way too silent. Not a single noise to signify any living. Shaking the paranoia away, He brushes his clothes off and walks around the area but his breath hitches when he realize where he is.....The flashback of Navian requesting him to end his pain, end his life. His trembling self, crying and begging Navian to stop asking him that and then Navian's lifeless body. The memory was as painful as before, he could feel his eyes wet but suddenly another scream echoes from behind him.
He turns around to find himself in a dark room.Loud cries echoes around him making him cups his ears until they stops. As he removes his hands, somebody walked through the shadows. He narrows his eyes to see clearly before a sigh escapes his mouth.

" Nyla!!! !! What is happening here, what is this place." Raj asks curiously as he looks around to see only darkness but a painful cry pierce his ears . He turns towards the noise to pale further. Nyla stood before him, clenching her body hard, and screaming painfully. " Nyla!!!!!" Raj reaches towards her only to feel something sticky on his hand, he looks down to find his hands covered in blood," What is this? What is happening. Nyla?" he looks up and his heart stops for a second. Nyla stood before him- pale, whimpering in pain and covered in blood, her own blood." Nyla...."

" why Rajveer? why didn't you save me? look what have you done. look !!!You killed me? You killed me?" Nyla cries as blood spouts from her mouth, pooling at his feet.

Raj shakes his head crying and tries to reach her but she appeared going far away.

" sorry Nyla! please....Pl..ease listen to me . I'm....sorry. Please.... for..give... " Raj sobs and falls on his knees , holding his hands out to her as she drifted into the darkness," Please!! come back to me.. I need you. I wouldn't to be able to breathe without you . NYLA!!!!!!!!!"Raj yells , curling onto the floor.

" NYLA!!!!!!!"Raj wakes up yelling and panting hard. His breath coming in bits and his mouth chanting her name , crying hysterically but a sudden voice of crashing , breaks his trance .He opens his eyes to realize he is in his room, on his bed but the relief didn't stop the tears from flowing down his eyes. The image of what he witnessed two days ago still clouding his mind, the voice still echoing in them.

The day he cradled Navian's lifeless body on his lap , he promised he won't let any situation to accelerate to the point where he has to feel the same agony, the same pain and the same helplessness , he felt at that moment but today he failed, it happened and he couldn't stop it two days ago- her closed eyes, cold body and the pool of blood.Everything fall apart that night and now there is nothing he or anybody could do but wait to bear the consequences.

It was the team's last chance , to prove themselves, to prove to their seniors and especially to prove King - that he cannot win; that their determination is farther stronger than his cynical mind, that he will soon has to bend before goodness but everything happened opposite to that. They lost their last chance and King won again. He not only escaped but also took their honor with him.
