Chapter 16: And We're Back

//Flashback//

"Shigaraki you understand what we must prepare for now don't you?" Kurogiri said.

Shigaraki nodded his head and began scratching at his head, "Of course I do be patient Kurogiri. Everything will go according to plan there is nothing to worry about master."

A low-toned voice was heard through the monitor, "Good I need to make sure that our friend at UA will follow along with our plan." The monitor turned off after the voice said this.

Shigaraki tapped his nails along the bar counter while glaring at the monitor. Kurogiri grabbed his coat before approaching the door.

"Where the hell are you going?" Shigaraki really demanded more than asked.

"I have to make a few phone calls if our plan is going to work. We need a few extra hands remember. It is happening soon you better have your notebook ready," Kurogiri said before walking out the door phone in hand.

(Y/N) Pov:

After an eventful day at the mall, we had to return back to school. I was feeling excited to get back to school even though I knew Dadzawa wasn't going to be there because his injuries were still so severe.

As I approached the door I felt someones on top of mine, "Please allow me to hold the door for someone as handsome as you are."

I turned to my side and realized it was Denki standing next to me. I rolled my eyes at the electric boy. I ruffled his hair, "Well then I really should be holding the door for you then babe."

The boy began to turn pink at the cheeks and ears, "Hey come on we're at school don't say it so loud."

"Too bad everyone should know how handsome you are, but if anyone tries to hurt you I will not hesitate to use my force lightning on them," I said seriously.

Denki playfully hit me in the side, "Come on anyone would be stupid if they tried to take you in a fight. We should probably go to class, shouldn't we?" Denki asked.

"Um yeah probably, but I'm holding the door for you," I said.

"Ugh fine," Denki shrugged.

I opened the door and saw a mostly full classroom except for a few stragglers like Deku and some others. I felt a hand press on my shoulder, "Hey man how have you been? You totally disappeared after we got food at the mall yesterday."

"Oh hey, Kiri. Yeah sorry, I um got a phone call from the hospital about Aizawa," I lied.

I turned my head away from my friends and smiled remembering how me and Denki tried avoiding the Bakusquad throughout the day while we did couple things and went shopping just the two of us as a new couple.

"How is Mr. Aizawa by the way (Y/N)?" Mina asked.

I turned my head back to face the group. "He's recovering just not extremely quickly. Recovery Girl is helping out with his recovery but he should be able to teach in a week or two I believe," I said barely managing to make eye contact with the rest of my friends.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath trying to keep my composure and prevent myself from crying. Once I opened my eyes the Bakusquad and Shoto, who had been there the whole time apparently, were all silent but had smiles on their face (well except Bakugo). A few seconds passed and they all gave me a group hug Bakugo included who was forced in by Kirishima and Sero.

"It'll be alright (Y/N) we're here for you," Mina said.

"Mr. Aizawa is super manly and strong he'll recover sooner than you know it for sure," Kiri said.

"You're strong but you couldn't beat me jackass," Bakugo said not making eye contact.

"Seriously we're your friends, that's what we're here for," Sero said smiling.

"Don't worry ba-bro we'll do whatever it takes," Denki said stuttering with a pink tint on his face.

"Yes what they said too," Shoto said making eye contact with me.

A large smile grew on my face, "Thanks guys you're all really great friends." They all hugged me tightly once more before letting go of me. We began talking about random things before the bell rang. A few minutes passed and the bell rang as we all took our seats.

"Pst (Y/N), who do you think our sub is going to be?" Denki asked me.

"I don't know, kind of hoping it's Cementos he's chill," I shrugged.

"I hope it's Miss Midnight," Denki said as he began drooling. I threw an eraser at him which knocked him out of his trance. "Oh right sorry, probably shouldn't think about those things," Denki said becoming red once again

The door opened and a figure wrapped in white bandages walked through,

"MR AIZAWA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" The class exclaimed.

"Everyone calm down, I am still injured but I am still fine enough to teach you," Dadzawa said walking towards the front of the class.

"Like hell you are no way are you teaching, you could've had someone cover for you, go back to the hospital," I stood up and demanded. Everyone's eyes darted back at me shocked at my remark.

"(Y/N) please I am fine, as you can see Recovery Girl went overboard with her procedure. Please sit down," Dadzawa instructed.

I scoffed but listened to my dad and sat back down, "Now there is something you all need to know about that is coming up soon," Dadzawa said. The entire class tensed up hearing these words. "The UA Sports festival."

"Yeah! The sports festival is going to be awesome!" The class all said once again.

"For those of you that are confused let me explain. UA has a sports festival for each grade year, so you all will participate in this festival three times over your course at UA. All of the classes will participate against each other to see who is the best in their grade level. Thousands of pro heroes watch the sports festivals and can scout you to go have an internship with them," Dadzawa paused to see if anyone was confused.

"Anyways you better not slack off on your training, prepare for the festival that's two weeks from now. It is a vital opportunity to be recognized by pros make it count." Dadzawa finally said ending his rant about the sports festival.

"HELL YEAH IM GOING TO BE NUMBER 1!" Bakugo yelled.

"WE ALL KNOW THAT'S GOING TO BE ME!" I yelled butting heads with Bakugo.

"SHITTY HAIR IS GOING TO TRAIN WITH ME SO I BECOME THE BEST!" Bakugo yelled once more.

"Um well," I glanced at Denki and used my quirk to telepathically ask him if he would be my training partner. At first, he looked stunned but nodded, "WELL I HAVE DENKI AND WERE GOING TO TRAIN HARDER THAN BOTH OF YOU AND I'LL WIN!"

"Come on knock it off guys," Sero said embarrassed of us.

"Mr. Aizawa stop this they're going to kill each other," Mina said desperately.

"Why should I stop them if anything you all should be as serious about this as those two are. Anyways class dismissed good luck with your training class," Mr. Aizawa said.

"YES SIR!"
