~Saturday~

It was a bright blue morning and rather warm, for New York spring weather. Noah was still sleeping which was normal given he was 16. Olivia was relaxing on the couch, nursing a glass of wine, and reading over case files.

Knowing how stubborn of a kid, Noah had become, she didn't even dare try to wake him. She marveled at the sight, giving credit to herself for how well she raised her son. He was handsome, and he had a lot of friends. He respected her, and was a kid who maintained a 4.0 gpa. He was also the captain of the football team at his school. He was also the kind of kid, who would bring her breakfast out of the blue, or buy her a Snickers bar when she least expected it.

But the one trait he never seemed to grasp, was that of waking up. Sometimes she had to be stern, which sometimes made her the bad one. This day was no different.

<11:50 am>

Read the time on her phone. She knew how he would react. Still, she was also the believer of 'lets make today the best it possibly can' and 'Seize the day'.

As Olivia slowly made her way down the hall to a door that stated: "Keep out, Man Cave alert." She knocked lightly. When she didn't hear a response or a grunt that constituted that her son was alive and kicking, she opened the door, and opened the window.

"Good Morning sleepy head! Let's get this day moving."

"GO AWAY" was heard clearly through his mumbling

"Noah Porter it's 12:00 pm. To late to be sleeping."

"GO AWAY."

"Fine you have 10 minutes to get up and show yourself. If not, no phone, T.V., or social gatherings. Understood?"

"si ho capito mamma"

"Good."

"Oh and your gonna call your Grandma and speak to her. She has been begging to hear from you."

"Really? Now?"

"yes."

"Why should I talk to her? She has never called me or talked to me. She isn't the nicest, and never thought she should be gracious enough to call us first?"

"Noah. First of all, lets not be rude. I know she isn't "Grandma of the Year", but she is your grandma. End of discussion"

"Fine"

"Cop the attitude son."

"Fine! Whatever" he spat.

This child is gonna drive me insane.

10 minutes later, Noah came out dressed in khakis, and a VANS "off the wall" T-shirt.

"Okay good. Now call your grandma."

(S= Serena, and N= Noah)

N: Ciao nonna (Hi grandmother)

S: ciao mio nipote! Come stai?(hello my grandson how are you?)

N: Sto bene. Hai detto che mi stavi implorando di parlare con me.(I'm fine. You said you were begging me to talk to me.)

(Yeah, I just wanted to tell you that I know you hate me and all. But it took me a while to get together and I really want to commit to this "grandma thing" I'm proud of you and hope that some kind of relationship can be established. and I love you.)

N: Vedremo. Ok ciao (we'll see. Bye grandmother)

"NOAH!"

"What?"

"What was that?"

"That was grandmother being a pain in the ass!"

"First of all language! And second of all, we do not talk to people like that. Now, I know she's a headache. I lived with her for 18 years, but that doesn't mean you can talk to her like that!"

"Okay... Your point?"

"Where... Where did that sweet little boy go? The one who was respectful and listened to me?"

He scoffed and replied

"That little boy grew up. I don't need to be coddled and told how to be all sweet and loving to a woman who I barely grew up knowing. Who only wanted to "Spend time with me" because she's gonna regret that if she didn't. Stop being blind mother. She doesn't deserve to know me. She lives in goddamn Italy. She doesn't even try and she could give less shit about her FAMILY."

By this time she was shaking with anger and sadness.

"Noah give me your phone. Your computer. And your remote for your TV. You are not to watch anything or hangout with your friends. Your to go only from football practice, to home. No parties, No nothing. Do you understand? I am sick and tired of the way you treat me and your continued disrespect. It's not going to FLY any longer. You Understand? From now until I say, your grounded."

"Fuck off mother. I hate you."

All of the hurt, anger, and pain came rushing out in the form of tears. She couldn't help but wonder if it was all her fault. Was it her fault she didn't try harder in the dating department? Was his behavior because he didn't have a stable father figure? She wanted to so much to call the one stable male figure in her life. But what was that gonna do? After all, he left without a word.

She finally fell asleep, hopping this was all a dream.

NOAHS POV:

After the fight with my mom, I needed to get out. She is such a control freak, that wants to ruin me. She's a fucking cop that tracked me wherever I went. I still had one device that she didn't know of.

I opened it, and logged onto INSTAGRAM and was checking my DMS. I came across Cammy Diaz, a freshman who was super hot. She texted me that she was having a party, and wanted me to go.

That was one thing that was never hard for me to get. Party Invitations. Every girl wanted to be with me, and sleep with me. It was actually quite easy to get with them

"Are your parents home? I texted?

"No. Booze and weed are included. Wink"

"Count me in baby."

"See you there hotshot."

My mom's light finally went out and I could hear light snores coming from her room.

I silently slipped out of the house and into the night.
