Chapter 9: She Needs Him

Morning honey bunches! Happy New Year! I am so sorry about my lack of updates with this story. I am so far behind right now because its past New Years and I'm still getting to the part about MSG so you guys will see the skipping ahead a lot and much much longer chapters as I try to smush all of December into 3 chapters. Janine's POV

I sat down at the table among the lads and Eleanor.

They were already dishing out their food as I sat, waiting for them to finish.

I reached over and started dishing out my own food, which wasn't a lot.

The boys' jaws dropped as they examined how little I took for myself.

"Jenny that's all your eating?! You're eating for two, in case you didn't know!" Harry exclaimed, concern showing in his emerald green eyes.

I shook my head. "I'm not supposed to eat too much either unless I want to get a diabetes during my pregnancy. The doctor said being this age and pregnant has a lot of risks." I explain to him and the boys, along with Eleanor.

I watched as he processed my words before nodding at me slowly.

I smiled turning my attention towards the other boys.

"Is everything good?" I inquire about my cooking.

Niall nods his head vigorously as he stuffed more in his mouth.

"Ebeiting is gword." he said with his mouth full.

I laughed loudly at his response. "Thanks Niall."

We eat in a comfortable silence before a thought comes to mind.

"Liam, where's Dani?" I asked, putting a piece of chicken in my mouth.

Everyone stopped eating and exchanged glances.

"We...we broke up." Liam said quickly, looking for me expression.

I grabbed a napkin and did a spit take into it.

"YOU DID WHAT?" I asked, looking around the table.

"Yeah, it's just that with touring and everything, it wouldn't be healthy for our relationship." Liam explained, continuing to eat his food.

"And how long ago was this?" I ask, feeling a bit uneasy about the answer I would get.

Again, Liam exchanged glances with everyone else.

He sighed. "A bit after you left."

I nod, putting my last spoonful of food in my mouth.

"Jenny?" I looked up at Liam. "I'm sorry. The boys and El wanted to tell you but you already have so much on your plate and-" he rambled on.

"Liam, you're rambling. It's okay. I completely understand." I say with a smile.

His eyes filled with relief as he smiled. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." I say with a smile.

By this time everyone was done eating and as I suspected, there were no leftovers.

"Okay well I'll go get this cleaned up and you guys can go chill." I say, getting up and taking their plates.

"I'll help you!" Niall said, taking some of the plates from me.

"Thanks." I say with a smile.

With that we left to the kitchen as the everyone else filed into the living room.

Niall's POV

I followed Jenny into the kitchen and put the dishes in the sink.

"Okay so what do I have to do, boss?" I ask her.

She grinned at the name and continued.

"Rinse the plates and I'll put them in the dishwasher." she said, going to take the first plate from me.

I thought about it for a second.

"You shouldn't be bending. You rinse and I'll put them in." I say, taking her place by the dishwasher.

She smiled at me gratefully. "Thanks Nialler, my sister was lucky to have you."

I smiled a bit remembering Brenda, although she didn't deserve him.

"So she told you she broke up with me." I say, smiling sadly.

She smiled sadly. "Yeah she did. And I still can't believe she did that to you."

I shrugged. "It's okay. I mean, what can I do? It's part of life."

Sh e sighed. "Yeah I guess your right."

We continued to work in a comfortable silence.

She began to hum to Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On.

I smiled to myself, and joined her tune as we hummed to the song quietly.

I glanced up to see Harry, motioning for me to go on to the real reason I was here.

I nodded. "Jenny?"

She stopped humming and smiled at me. "Yeah Nialler?"

"How are you really? Without Harry?" I ask, getting ready for tears to escape her eyes.

She smiled. "I'm fine. I do miss Harry though." She sighed. "I need him here with me so he can help me and we can watch our baby grow together. Being 18 and pregnant isn't easy."

I nodded. She has become stronger being on her own but at least she didn't deny she needed him.

"Yay! We're done!" she said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I smiled. "Let's go watch a movie then."

"Okay." she smiled, taking off the kitchen light.

At least Harry will be happy to hear she needs him.
