Chapter 10: Maybe Baby

Harry's POV

The first night at Jenny's, I went to sleep with a smile on my face after hearing what she'd told Niall.

It may sound clichè but I dreamed about our life together. Married with our beautiful baby. I smiled through my sleep.

The next morning, I awoke too see that Niall was nowhere around. I groaned, reaching under my pillow for my phone.

12:30 in the afternoon. Jet lag sucks.

I rolled out of the bed, folding it back in to its original couch formation.

The basement had a full bath so I didn't have to go upstairs to shower.

I quickly got ready, trudging upstairs to the kitchen.

I smiled at the sight of Jenny. She was concentrated on her laptop, her glasses resting on her nose. She was wearing denim jeans with a pink sweater top with sequins on it.

"Morning." I say, breaking her concentration.

She looked up and smiled. "Oh hey Harry. Morning."

I walked over to the counter and poured myself a cup of coffee.

"Where is everyone?" I asked.

Once again, she looked up from her laptop, pulling her glasses up into her freshly straightened hair.

"They went out to do their own thing. Niall tried waking you up but you didn't budge so they left you to sleep in." she replied, closing down her laptop.

"Oh." I say. Then an idea comes to mind. "What are you doing today?"

She slips on her Uggs as she replies. "Nothing really. I'm just going to the park a few blocks down.....do you want to come?" she asks, shrugging on her coat.

I smiled. "Sure. But there won't be any fans will there?" I ask.

She shook her head. "Not really. Today's a school day so everyone's at school. The park is across from a grade school but I doubt anyone will stop you." she explained.

"Let's go then." I say, grabbing my coat from the hanger.

Janine's POV

We walked side by side down Hounslow towards Broadway.

(No not the Broadway in NYC. There's more than one. They're living in Long Island.)

We walked at a steady pace, not too slow but not too fast.

It was a comfortable, yet awkward silence.

"So how've you been?" Harry asked, breaking the tension.

"I've been better." I say, rubbing my belly.

"Oh. I heard you got a job working for Seventeen. Congratulations." he says with a smile.

"Thanks. It's feels good to actually be doing something I want to do. Not what everyone else lays out for me, you know? But I want to go on to do more like news-"

"I'm sorry!" Harry blurted out, cutting me off.

I stopped in my tracks, speechless.

"Um..I-" I began, surprised.

"Jenny I screwed up. I know I did and I'm sorry. I just want to be in your life again and in our baby's life. I love you." he said, taking me hand.

I sighed. I saw hurt flash through his eyes.

"You know what? Just forget I ever said tha-" he started.

"No, Harry. I do want to say "I love you too" but I can't. At least not yet. It's going to take some time." I say, watching his eyes become bright.

"I'll do anything." he says, smiling.

I thought about it for a second debating on whether I was making the right choice or not.

"Fine. I have a doctor's appointment next Tuesday. I want you to come with me." I say, feeling good with my decision.

I watched as his smile grew. "Okay. You've got it." he says.

We continue our walk side by side, thinking about the possibilities to come.

I unlocked the backdoor of the house and stepped in, followed by Harry.

I could hear the television on in the living room.

I walk in to see the boys and El sprawled out around the room.

"You're back!" Zayn said, excitedly.

I smiled. "Yeah. We went to the park." I say.

"Have fun?" Louis asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

I shook my head as Harry laughed taking a seat on the floor beside Niall.

"Are you going to join us?" El asked.

I smile. "Yeah."

The rest of my day was spent spending time with my friends.

So what do you guys think so far? I know it may be boring for right now, but there's drama coming. Lots of it. Haha.

I want to thank you guys for being here with me through the hate. Whoever reported those comments, thank you. I see clearly that I have more supporters than I have haters and that's all that matters to me.

I know my updates aren't on schedule but like I said, the holiday season and getting back into school is really getting in my way. I'm trying to write as many chapters as possible but then I have to transfer them over to my laptop too so it's really confusing. I'm just updating this story so much because I want to get it caught up to present day.
