Don't leave me yet!

Day One

'AAAAAAAHHHHAHAJAJJAHHHHHHHH!!!' Atsushi woke up screaming.

Akutagawa was instantly awake, he jumped to his feet and saw the stranger who he saved yesterday, still sitting in his bed.

'Who are you, What is your name, Why are you here?' Akutagawa threw the questions at Atsushi.

The stranger stopped screaming, blinked, and obediently answered: 'I am Nakajima Atsushi, I've been marooned by the ADA, and I woke up on an island,' he looked around the room, 'not here', he continued. 'Now, may I ask, who are YOU?' Atsushi asked in return.

'Who I am is not important, you'll leave this island in a month when the ship comes back.'

'What ship? Who said I want to leave? They'll kill me if I return.'

'That is not really my business, and I therefore do not care what they do to you, now the ship.' He started to walk around the room while he continued to speak, 'On this island, there grow special blue flowers that have been secretly used in medicine all over the world, as they have unbelievable healing abilities, but because of those abilities they are highly illegal.' He paused to look at Atsushi, ' but people use them anyway. Now, on the first day of every month there is a ship that sails here, to pick up those flowers. I take care of them, and when they are ready to be picked, I collect them for the people to take once they arrive. In return, I am allowed to live here by MYSELF,' he emphasised myself, as if he wanted Atsushi to leave right away.

'Now, the ship just arrived yesterday, a bit before you, so they couldn't take you right away. Pity. If you want to live here, you'll listen to my rules and follow my instructions, and you'll work for me. Unless, you want to live outside, of course it's your choice.'

'What? What do you mean 'work'? I am a pirate, not some servant of a wannabe-lord.'

'And I am a lord, and you shall address me as 'Sir', is that clear?'

'No...?' I sounded more like a question than a genuine answer, but Atsushi was just as confused as he looked.

'Listen, for this month, you'll do my work, and I'll let you sleep in one of my bedrooms. You'll also cook for us, and clean the house. Is that not good enough for you? If you really are a pirate, you would have been in worse situations, you've been marooned for God's sake!'

'Alright. Yes 'sir'' Atsushi answered.

'Good, now get off my bed you ungrateful brat!'

Atsushi jumped off the bed, and followed Ryunosuke out of the room.

'Today I'll show you around, and show you the work, you'll cook us dinner and start work properly tomorrow.'

'Yes sir.' Was all Atsushi was able to say as he wasn't even listening. The view of all the expensive furniture and artworks was far more interesting.

'Hurry up, we don't have all day!'

The sun has set roughly fifteen minutes ago, and Atsushi already placed the warm chazuke on the table in front of himself and Akutagawa.

Atsushi sat down across from Ryunosuke and they both started eating. Atsushi still had his 'pirate manners' and gobbled the entire bowl in two bites, unlike Akutagawa who sat straighter than possible, and ate slowly, while staring at Atsushi who behaved like... like.. like a beast, a ... JINKO!

'I shall call you 'Jinko' now.'

'What is that, why?'

'A Jinko is a creature that you behave like' Akutagawa snorted with laughter.

Atsushi stayed silent and waited until he was dismissed. Akutagawa finished his meal in silence and gave his bowl to Atsushi to clean up.

Before Aku left, he said, ' You can take any bedroom except mine.', and he was out the door.

Atsushi stared at the door for a while, before actually washing the dishes and finding a room.

As Atsushi was walking along the corridors, he found himself in front of a huge, red door. He opened it slightly and peaked inside. There was a library, and in the middle was a table with Akutagawa sitting there, reading. 'If only I could read' Atsushi thought and closed the door.

He opened the door next to the library and there was a small bedroom with a single bed and bed-side table. Perfect for me, he thought as his head hit the pillow.
