I pointed my finger at the house, "Is that the house you have opted for rent?" I asked. Sunita's face grew pale, she answered, "This house is for rent, but there are other houses too. I am afraid of this house." I asked, "Why?"
Sunita told me that, a lot of people had come to this house on rental basis, however, they left the house in a week. I asked the reason, Sunita spoke, "Ahem!! You know Bro. I haven't been to that house; however, I had been only in broad day light, and for my tenets, they saw shadows in the house, there was a constant feeling of someone watching over." I was a bit perplexed, however, I had faced this situation, but to be honest, I had been to the place which was claimed to be haunted, but it turned to be null and void.
Sunita continues, "As I had been there only on broad day light, I wanna tell you that the house is safe, but for the night-time, it's gonna be unique, I guess." I didn't want Sunita to be nervous, and now she is my sister, so I encouraged her, "Don't worry Sister. I guess there's gonna be things in the house, but sometimes our mind plays tricks, and the man who is a Theist and, in these days, the person who's immersed in checking accounts, loan papers, calculating credits won't be interested in supernatural manifestation." Sunita smiled and remarked, "That's the way, and it's gonna be better." Sunita told me to wait, she fetched an emergency lantern. Sunita exclaimed, "Gosh!! I forgot to tell you, this place experiences load shedding every day, so there's gonna be power cut during nights, say for hour or a two." I chuckled, "Thanks Sister." We went towards the house.
I was sceptical about the house, however, I thought that my judgement would be wrong.
Sunita opened the door, the last tenant had left the house, two weeks ago, and daily chores is done for this house. Sunita said that her maid would come in few minutes to clean up the house and she left, handing over the keys to me. I looked at the house, the dining room was huge and magnificent. There was a hearth in the dining room, a scullery and a bedroom. The room was well maintained, the sleepy town was better in infrastructure, except for the electricity.
The sleepy town was in proximity with the highways, it had better water supply and lot of other needs. As I sat on the dining table, at that time a woman enters. She was a stout woman, with grey hairs, and baggy skin. She was an older woman. I rose from the seat. The woman conversed, "Good Morning Sir. My name is Dai, and I am the maid of Sunita Madam." I smiled and replied, "Thanks Aunty for coming." She smiled and said, "Even Sunita Madam calls me aunty." Dai Aunty cleaned the house.
Sunita comes in, and she informs me the address of the factory where I would go for inspection. The factory is half an hour away from here. Sunita had arranged the tea for the driver, so he would take me in ten minutes. I thanked Sunita for the gesture.
