Chapter 1

When Tommy woke up that morning he thought it would be a normal day. Well, correction as normal as a day for a demigod can get. After he had breakfast and said bye to his parents as they left for work, he immediately went upstairs and started to edit one of his videos.
But he was having a hard time focusing because soon he would be leaving for camp half blood, and he had not told his online family yet.
He had already told dream, who was confused about why he had to go to camp for the whole summer but was ultimately understanding. But he had no idea how he was going to tell his second family.
Especially Wilbur who he usually talks to every day. What was he supposed to say? Sorry pal, I know we usually talk every day, but I can't talk to you for most of the summer. I wish I could, but camp has a strict no phone's policy due to the attraction of monsters.
Yeah, that was sure to go over well. Tommy could only be grateful that he didn't have to have this conversation with Ranboo and Tubbo because they would be going to camp half blood with him. Him meeting tubbo his first year as a camper and meeting Ranboo his second. All three of them lived in the Hermes cabin unclaimed until Percy Jackson made the gods promise not to be such dicks to their children.
All three of them were claimed last year Ranboo being a son of Athena and Tubbo and Tommy both being sons of Hermes that not really being much of a surprise to anyone.
Tommy pushed back from his desk and flopped onto his bed, knowing he was not getting any work done anyways. He pulled out his phone and messaged his group chat with Tubbo and Ranboo hoping maybe they might have some advice this time.
Tommy- do you guys know what you are going to tell everyone yet? Not that I'm worried about it, being the big man I am.
Tubbo- by everyone do you actually mean everyone or Wilbur?
Tommy- by everyone I mean the multiple women who I will be leaving unread on snap. Do you know how hard it is to maintain my perfect streak with so many ladies?
Ranboo- you guys are aware of time zones right?
Tubbo- sleep is for the week big man lol and Tommy needs an answer for the ladies.
Tommy knew at this point they would be of no help as they were now fighting slash flirting again. He would seriously never understand their relationship.
Tommy messaged them a quick you guys are no help before hopping onto discord to find someone to talk to. He saw Wilbur was online and quickly called him to see if he wanted to chat.
Wilbur answered with a grin and said "what do you want child I'm talking to Phil."
"Probably about oatmeal," Tommy joked.
"I don't even like oatmeal that much you little shit" Phil said grinning.
"Hey will", Tommy said after a couple of minutes of Wilbur and Phil talking.
"What's up Tommy" Wilbur asked after seeing Tommy's serious face.
But Tommy being the coward he is chickened out and instead asked if they wanted to help him practice his speed running. Both quickly agreed, but not before exchanging a confused look while Tommy was distracted.
He jumped into a seed and Tommy immediately got into it, relaxing for the first time and having a good time with his friends. Wilbur and Phil were both laughing and giving advice, some good "Phil" and someone obviously just fucking with him "Wilbur". Soon dream joined the call and stuck around saying they needed an expert speed runner to coach all of them.
Tommy was having a great time, so it was a complete surprise when the explosions started. It took Tommy a minute to process what happened, and he quickly muted to glance out the window.
He saw three Laistrygonians outside his house, or more commonly known as Canadians. And they seemed to be looking for him. They were sniffing around, but it seemed one had accidentally set off his TNT though it looked like they were trying to be quiet.
Tommy quickly unmuted when everyone in the call kept asking him if he was okay, Wilbur being the loudest of all of them. Tommy smiled at them as convincingly as he could and said "sorry guys my dad accidentally set of some fireworks off, have to help him deal with it" before quickly hanging up ignoring their protesting.
Tommy knew they were going to be worried and confused, but he had to deal with this problem first.
Tommy immediately grabbed his phone and called Tubbo. Tubbo answered and Tommy started to whisper scream at him "Tubbo my house is surrounded by fucking Canadians and not the good kind what the fuck?"
"I know big man Tubbo laughed, I tried to call you and warn you, but you didn't answer."
"How the fuck do you know" Tommy asked as always staying calm and brave in the face of danger.
"Some showed up at my house as they seem to be hunting children of Hermes for some reason don't worry I'm on my way" Tubbo said still sounding to upbeat for this conversation.
At this point Tommy had made his way up to the roof and was peering over watching the Canadians make their way around his backyard.
"Well they blew up my backyard I don't know how they think they are still undetected" Tommy said.
Tommy watched them argue briefly, and then they seemed to come to agreement.
"Are you almost here" Tommy demanded knowing he was running out of time and could not avoid the fight for much longer.
"Yeah, yeah hold your horses" Tubbo said still sounding amused.
"I think I need to jump them now" Tommy said getting ready to leap into battle.
"Tommy wait for me" Tubbo said in a rare moment of seriousness.
Tommy laughed and said "sorry big man, I'll try to save some for you" before hanging up.
Tommy quickly thanked the gods his parents were not home to see him do something this stupid and jumped down on the first monsters back, shoving his sword in his neck.
The monster exploded into dust and Tommy quickly leapt back getting ready to fight the other two. Luckily monsters like to monologue for some reason when they feel like they have the upper hand and Tommy was still out numbered two to one. And as much as Tommy pretends to be reckless, he does know it's better to stall until Tubbo gets there.
The bigger one stepped forward with an ugly grin on his face, seemingly the leader. "Son of Hermes we come to kill you as revenge on your father we will kill all of your fathers blood while he watches unable to help."
Tommy tried for a cocky grin and said "how about I kill you instead."
The monsters laughed, and the bigger one said "you are brave son of Hermes, but that won't save you."
Just as Tommy was bracing himself to rush into this suicidal fight Tubbo crashed into the smaller monster with his chariot, the monster instantly exploding with a shocked look on his face. Tubbo jumped out of his chariot with a battle cry and at the same time Tommy and Tubbo charged the bigger monster. The monster knowing it was now outnumber tried to flee, but Tommy quickly sent him to Tartarus with a swipe of his sword.
"Tubbo" Tommy yelled in greeting, wiping his sword on his pants leg.
Tubbo tried to glare at him but couldn't stop the smile that was already appearing on his face. "We really need to go to camp halfblood"Tubbo said looking worried for a minute.
But right after Tubbo smiled and said "maybe you should call your parents first to let them know your yard looks like a war zone."
Tommy quickly scanned the yard and said "fuck. "
Tubbo giggled and said "I'll go pack some things for you" and quickly headed upstairs.
Tommy called his parents and left a voicemail on both their phones explaining everything as well as he could.
"You ready to go big man" Tubbo asked when Tommy hung up his phone.
Tommy smiled and hopped in the chariot kicking up his legs for the long flight. "Of course I am big T" Tommy said grinning I'll even let you fly first
