My phone buzzed; Incoming call from SeaUrchin. I tell Joel and leave the room with my cat (A/N Still don't know her name. Shit memory) When I pick it up Shelby sounds relieved "Scott?! Lizzy told me! Are you okay?!" "I-" "You were hinting for a long time!" "Well-" "If only i had seen the signs-!" "SHELBY!" I startle her out of her rambling. "It's fine, it isn't your fault" Shelby sighs and says in a calmer voice, "I didn't tell anyone else, just please be okay"
"I am, ill be back to normal soon don't worry." I comfort her, which pisses her off in the same way it pissed Joel off. "Why do you do this? When you are the one in need of a hug, you give the hugs." "I'm used to it," I say nonchalantly. "Well, you shouldn't be." She was upset, but, you know, I got better.
