The Aftermath - After National Championship

Just Move On!!

I woke up late this morning. My motivation was already down last night due to whatever happened yesterday but I can't let that drag me down, can I?

So I got out of my bed and did all my usual work and 10 minutes were left before I usually leave my house for school. My mom came to me and gave me my lunch box and she asked, "Has something happened with you, Itsuki?"

"No, of course not," I told but I was clearly lying is what even I judged from the tone of my voice. She then gave me a glare which meant I should tell her the truth.

Then I explained everything to her and she told me, "It's OK, as your coach said you can try next year and support the team from behind." but even she is not understanding my point. The sadness on my face didn't change and then she told me something that changed my life.

"So Itsuki, do your think that there is the importance of the audience that comes to watch matches be it Volleyball or any other sport?" I just looked at her face in surprise, "Yeah of course it is, audience members can change the whole route of a match."

"So when the team they are supporting wins, aren't they happy?" She asked again and I answered, "Of course they are happy! At the end of the day, it is proud for them."

"So I will ask you a simple question." She started and I just couldn't process what she was saying up until that moment, "If the team they are supporting wins then is it the win for the team only or the audience too?"

Now it hit me and I then took a deep breath and answered, "It is for the team and audience too and even the supporters which helped the team to get this far."

She gave me a look that she expected me to understand and yes I did. 

"Thank you, mom" And saying this I hugged her and went my way to the school. As of now I was somewhat late for school but do I regret it?? No, I don't. Hinata Senpai and Coach explained to me the same thing yesterday but I guess I needed to be a thick head and get it into my head 2 times to understand and take it to heart.

On my way to the classroom, I met Takebi San and the good-looking kid he was with when the first day he was late for his classes. I called for Takebi San and he heard me and looked behind.

"Oh, it is Itsuki." Takebi San said waving his hand and then I caught up with them and then the good-looking guy asked, "So Takebi, who is this chap??"

Chap?? This guy is really interesting I thought but before Takebi San could answer I asked, "So, are you also from Kamomedai??" and he nodded his head, and then Takebi San introduced us to each other.

His name is Hayate and he is a literature lover (Don't ask me why Takebi San told me this). But the most prominent question that came to my mind was, "Does he play Volleyball?"

Hayate San was very good looking and his muscle build was also more than just good. So I asked Hayate San this question, "So. Hayate San do you play Volleyball??" and I saw the change of mood from fairly decent to a sad one. Takebi San then told me, "Itsuki San, he doesn't"

I don't know why but I think that Hayate San hates Volleyball for some reason and I don't even want to know why he hates Volleyball because I love Volleyball!!

So after that, we went to the classroom and attended our usual lectures, and then came the time for recess. In the break, I was sitting with Takebi and Hayate San.

Then I heard a familiar voice call out my name and I saw Hinata and Kageyama Senpai. First I was shocked at what I saw but then they came to us and Hinata Senpai started, "Who is it that you are sitting with, Itsuki and Takebi Kun??"

"He is Hayate San" I answered Hinata Senpai and then Kageyama Senpai asked the same question I asked in the morning, "Do you play Volleyball??"

And Hayate San just answered, "No!" but brushing that aside, Hinata Senpai came to told us that today there is a practice match between two rivals.

Any Guesses? It was a match between Nekoma High and Krasuno!! That was so awesome and Hinata Senpai and Kegyama Senpai looked as excited as I was. Then they were gone and Takebi San and Hayate San's faces showed that they have so many questions.

"Is Nekoma High a good school??" Takebi San asked me, at first I was really surprised, I thought for sure Takebi San would know about Nekoma High. I then explained to him that how good Nekoma is and I also knew about the rivalry of Karasuno and Nekoma High, so I told him about the Dumpster battle between crows and cat.

Hearing this even Takebi San was thrilled who doesn't really take that many things seriously in his life and who wouldn't be. The story is so interesting and for someone who watched the match between Karasuno and Nekoma on Television, it is such a dream come true to watch both the teams play in front of my eyes.

Then the whole school went uneventful. Can you blame them? How the hell can anything top the Nekoma vs Karasuno school today. I am so excited about it. So after school ended, I and Takebi rushed to the Volleyball court and when we reached there I expected Karasuno and Nekoma High to be warming up.

But my disappointment, Nekoma had not reached Karasuno yet and then I saw Hinata Sepai and Kageyama Senpai spiking and basically doing their warmup. 

"Takebi and Itsuki, do warm-up fast!!" Tanaka Senpai called for Takebi San and me.

"It has been so much time and we have not played with Nekoma High for so long." Nishinoya Senpai exclaimed. Then came a voice from behind, "The feeling is mutual in this case."

A tall guy with white hair was seen entering the club. Behind him were other players and THAT IS NEKOMA. They were so cool. But after saying this the white-haired guy started looking for someone.

"Where is Captain??" He asked and Tsukishima Senpai (I didn't notice him) asked "Yeah, where are Kenma and Kuro, Lev??"

"Kuro was a third-year so he has already graduated, but I was looking for captain," Lev told and I was surprised, the cool black-haired guy has now graduated, so who is Captain?

Tsukishima Senpai then asked, "Wait, that means...." and he was thinking the same thing, what I was thinking, "Means, Kenma Kozume is the Captain of Nekoma High, now!!"

This was unexpected, so now Nekoma has turned better or worse with lead by Kenma??

Is what I would have said, but I am ending the story here. Now, you may ask, why?? But I am sure nobody will ask that, actually this story was just an experiment on my part. I wanted to see the power of Wattpad platform and does it push the stories that we authors create. I have found out that the answer to this is, Somewhat!!

Don't get me wrong, Wattpad is an amazing platform but most of the readers are coming from my Instagram and not through the Wattpad platform itself. So I am taking a break from this story for a month or so. And I know that most likely than now I will not return to this story moving forward. I genuinely love it.
