22)The cute guy behind the counter

Bria's POV-

It's been two weeks since the whole incident and everything is starting to get back to normal. Jack still hasn't asked me out and I gave up waiting. Everyone seems to be avoiding me.

The other day I went into the kitchen and asked Nash if he could get me a bowl because I couldn't reach them. He just turned around and went to his room. Then yesterday I called jack to ask I he wanted to go the park but he said that he had to make a bomb. I mean if you're going to lie, lie good.

I'm in my room reading Paper Towns by John Green and I wish I was like Margo. She's so mysterious and adventures and then there's me.I got up and went downstairs and to my surprise all of the boys and my brothers where down there.

"So how's making the bomb going?" I asked jack and he got wide eyed. I just laughed to myself. I grabbed my phone and keys and went outside. I got in my car and plugged my phone in so I could play my music. I put on songs from High School Musical and started singing along.

"You are the music in me" I backed out of the driveway while singing the nah nah nah nah part. I didn't have any place in particular that I wanted to go to so I went to the park.

While I was driving I decided I wanted to get ice cream but I didn't bring money. Great. I was going to go back home to get money but then I remembered that a bunch of liars and jerks are there. I put on Bad Day by Daniel Power and sang along to the song that described my day perfectly.

I headed back home and quietly tiptoed inside. I went to my room and grabbed my headphones and some money. When I went back downstairs Nash and Cam were blocking the door.

"Excuse me" I said rather annoyed. "Where are you going" Cam asked folding his arms. "Non of your business" I said mimicking his movement. "Just tell us" Nash said while rolling his eyes. "Then tell me why all of you are ignoring me?" I said kissing my teeth. "It's complicated" Cam said quietly and I laughed in disgust.

"You guys are pathetic, now if you'll please excuse me" I said trying to get around them but they weren't going anywhere without and answer. "Ughhhhhhh why do you guys care so much!" I was really annoyed at this point. "Because he's your brother and I'm like your brother. It's our job" Cam said giving me a cheeky smile. "Oh my gosh I'm going to get food" I said and they moved.

"Better be home by 9!" Nash shouted as I walked outside "yea sure" I said quietly to myself. I got into my car and started it up. I put some more songs on and jammed out as I pulled out. I got to the shop and you won't believe who I saw. No I'm just kidding I ordered Cookies n Cream because it's my absolute favorite.

The guy behind the counter was really cute. But I like Jack. But he's really hot. Snap out of it. "Are you taking this to go?" He asked nicely and I nodded with a smile. "Hold on let me go get some more napkins" he said and shortly returned stuffing them into a brown paper bag.

"How much?" I asked grabbing my wallet. "4.73" he said and I pulled out a five and seventy three cents. "Here you go" he said handing me my bag and I thanked him then left. I got in my car and took out the napkins and my ice cream. I ate a little of it but then I got full and put it back in the bag.

I took a napkin and was about to wipe my face when I saw writing on it. It was the cute guy behind the counters number! Score!! I put him in my phone as The Cute Guy Behind the Counter. Then I took a different napkin and wiped my face clean. I was in such a good mood and couldn't stop smiling. I drove to the park and took a long walk.

I had my hands in my pockets and my earphones in. I slightly hummed and walked until I saw a bench. I sat down and took out my phone. I pulled up the cute guys contact and just stared at it. Jack missed his shot.
