a Normal Day

I got woken up by the sound of my alarm clock. I opened my eyes and tried to find the alarm clock with my hands. I followed my nightstand with my hands. I felt the clock and hit it a few times. After 3 times the clock stopped beeping. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. My room was still dark. I wanted to turn around and sleep again. But suddenly I remembered why I had my alarm clock this early. I sat up and smiled. Today I was going to apply for my first job. My dad said multiple times it wasn't necessary because we earned enough. But from when I was a kid I always wanted to become a surgeon. I stepped out of bed. I felt the cold floor and tried to find my slippers. I searched under the bed. After searching for a few minutes, I found them. But, with holes in them. "Dammit Haley'' I said while I threw them away. Our dog: Haley, already destroyed three pairs of slippers. I ignored the cold floor and went to the bathroom on my toes. I opened the door quietly and grabbed my clothes from my chair. I already put them there the night before. I walked in and closed the door behind me. I looked in the mirror. "Today is my day." I whispered with a smile. My long brown hair fell over my shoulders. I did it in a bun and changed clothes. I picked out a white blouse with a black skirt. The skirt covered my legs till my knees. I also had a black jacket which completed the outfit. I did my hair in a better bun and put on some make-up. After I was done, I walked out of the bathroom downstairs. I skipped the 4th step because I knew it squakeed. I jumped down. I walked towards the kitchen and made a quick breakfast. I grabbed some toast and sliced advocado. Out of the cabin behind me, I grabbed some pepper and salt. I sprinkled it over my toast and put it back. I ate the toast in a few bites and went to the hall to put on my shoes. I sat down at the stairs and looked in my shoe closet. There were about 20 pairs. I was obsessed with shoes. You could already tell if you walked in. I chose some black heels and put them on. I checked once more if I had everything: keys, bank pass, phone and sunglasses. I quickly looked in the mirror in the hall to see if I still looked okay and walked out of the door.

I stepped in the car and looked at my phone. It was 09:00 AM. I had an appointment at 11:00 AM, so I was on time. I started the car and drove off the driveway. After 90 minutes I arrived at a large hospital. I parked my car and stepped out. The sun was shining now. I looked around. A man around my age parked next to me. He stepped out. I looked into his eyes. They were perfectly blue. "Sorry for asking but are you here for the job application as well?" he asked while he looked at me. I nodded my head. "Yes, you too?" He looked at the massive doors of the hospital. "Yes, I always wanted to be a surgeon," I smiled. "me too" he looked at me with a smile as well. "What's your name, young lady?"He put his hand forward."Luna" I shook his hand. "Well, nice to meet you Luna. I'm Jackson" I let go of his hand. "nice to meet you too Jackson"

"let's go inside," I offered while I turned around. We walked towards the massive doors. I secretly looked at Jackson. He had a light brown skin, blue eyes and his hair was very short and black. He was pretty. We walked inside together towards the counter. "where can I help you with?" the lady behind the counter said in a dull voice. "we are here for the job application," I said. She looked at us. "names," I hesitated. I hate saying my last name. I always get the feeling people only like me because I'm the daughter of Tony Stark. "Jackson Avery," Jackson said. The woman typed something on the computer. "and yours?'' She looked at me. I stuttered. "Luna," she looked at me with a frown."last name?'' I looked at the ground."Luna, Luna Stark" she looked up just like Jackson. "are you the daughter of Tony?" Jackson said while he looked at me. I nodded and fake smiled. The lady pointed to the elavator. "second floor, 3rd room at your right. We both nodded and stepped in the elevator. "so, daughter of Tony Stark huh?" Jackson said with a grin. I punched him softly. "shut it" he laughed while the elevator stopped at the second floor. We both walked out. At the 3rd room we stopped. I looked at my phone: 10:55. Jackson opened the door for me. "good luck," he whispered. I smiled at him and walked in.

After a while of talking, I walked out the door again. I looked around and saw Jackson sitting. He stood up after he saw me. "and?" I smiled. "I think it went pretty well," he smiled back. "Good, now it's my turn," he said as he walked towards the door. "good luck, you got this" he grinned."you know, I think I will do better when I have your number.'' My eyes widened. I grabbed some paper out of my purse and a pen. I wrote down my number and gave it to him. "Call me," I said with a smile before I walked away. I had a huge grin when I walked out of the hospital. Deep inside I really hoped he would call me. I walked towards my car again and sat down. I smiled before I started the car and put on my seatbelt. I looked at the hospital once again before I drove back home.
