Chapter Three

Episode 8- We'll Always Have Bourbon Street

Adrian is turning and screaming. "Please, no more. I can't." Adrian said "Yes, you can. Block out the pain." Tyler said and he starts to turn again but Kim intervenes. "That's enough." She walks towards him. "This is torture." Kim said walking to him. "Kim, stop. He needs to finish." I say "Not today, he doesn't." Kim said "Yes today. Nate, Dean, and Chris are all dead, which makes Adrian Klaus' right hand. We can't let Adrian anywhere near Klaus until his sire bond is completely broken." I say and Kim tries to leave with Adrian but Tyler steps in the way. "Hayley is right. The bond isn't broken until he doesn't feel the pain of transformation anymore. If we want to get back at Klaus for everything he's done to us, Adrian has to keep turning." Tyler said "He doesn't have to do anything. Isn't that the point of breaking the sire bond... Free will? Let's go, Adrian." Kim said walking between Tyler and I walking out of the barn. I look at Tyler and I scoff.

I'm looking through papers in Shane's office when he walks in. "Trespassing, breaking and entering, all before noon?" Shane asked and I drop the book I was holding. "Having trouble breaking Adrian." I say "Don't worry about it. You already got the 12 hybrids I need." Shane said "We have 11. I told you, Tyler Lockwood isn't part of the deal." I say holding to the other side of his desk. "Well, now there's 11 hybrids. You deliver me 12 without loyalties to Klaus, or your friend Tyler becomes fair game." Shane said "You haven't held up your end of the bargain." I say "Right." He gets a thumb drive from his pocket holding it up. "This is everything you always wanted to know about your biological parents, and it's encoded in case you're thinking of the smash and grab. Just bring me 12 unsired hybrids, and it's yours." Shane said

Tyler and I were watching Kim and Adrian play pool at the Grill. I turn my head and look at Tyler. "They're gonna get us both killed, and we're just sitting here." I say "Kim is right. The point of breaking the sire bond is being free. They don't have to listen to me." Tyler said "Yes, they do, Ty. You can make them. Hybrids are werewolves first. Wolves run in packs, and every pack needs an Alpha, or they end up challenging each other for dominance. Kim is challenging your position as Alpha. You need to put her in her place... now." I say and he gets up walking over to them. Tyler picks up the eight ball before it can go in the pocket. I walk over to them.

"Long day tomorrow, Adrian. You want it to go better than today, you need to get some rest." Tyler said and Kim walks towards. "Who do you think you are?" Kim asked "The guy telling you to call it a night." Kim tries to hit him with the pool cue but Tyler catches it pulling her closer to him. "This could get a lot uglier right now, but I'm not gonna let it. Challenge me again, this conversation will end differently. You understand?" Tyler asked "Right. Whatever you say." Kim said "Finish your drink and get Adrian back to the stables. We'll meet you there." Tyler said letting Kim go. I look at them before following Tyler.

I was leaning against Shane's desk when he walks in. He puts the files he was holding down on the table. "You ever hear of a text message, maybe just give a guy a heads-up?" Shane asked "Adrian finished breaking the sire bond. You have your 12 hybrids. Now, where are my parents?." I ask "They're dead." Shane said "You lied to me?" I ask "No. I didn't lie to you. I said I'd tell you where to find them." He holds up the thumb drive. "This is everything you ever wanted to know, including where they're buried." Shane said and I walk towards him grabbing the thumb drive out of his hand. "You just picked a fight with a werewolf. You know that, right?" I ask "Easy, killer, all right? I'm not declaring war here. Just because they're dead doesn't mean you can't see them again." Shane said "What?" I ask "Oh, this is far from over, Hayley. We are the beginning." Shane said

Episode 9- O Come , All Ye Faithful

"You keep saying that, but here we are, hiding, plotting a revolution that's never gonna happen." Kim said as I walk in the Lockwood Cellar meeting Tyler, Adrian and Kim. "Never say never. And never say I don't pull through. I found the witch that's gonna save your lives." I say smiling at them. "Are you serious?" Adrian asked and I smile at him. "We promised you guys we'd free you from Klaus. You did your part by breaking your sire bond. Now Hayley and I are going to do ours." Tyler said

Caroline walks in the restrooms in the grill with Tyler and I following her. "How the hell did you even get out?" Tyler asked "I got out because even your idiot hybrids recognized the stupidity of your Alpha hybrid martyr plan." Caroline said "I'm not going to fight with you anymore, Caroline." Tyler said "Oh, we're gonna do plenty of fighting, the second that you shove Klaus into someone else's body." Caroline said "We've been through this. I don't have anyone else's body." Tyler said "Yeah? Well, I do." Caroline said "What? Who?" I ask "Klaus' sister Rebekah. She's got a dagger in her. Stefan's been hiding her coffin in the tunnels. We dump Klaus into her body and bury her. We just killed two original birds with one stone." Caroline said "It's too late to change the plan." I say "Call Bonnie. Make sure it'll work." Tyler said "Tyler." I say and he looks at me. "It's a brilliant plan, Hayley." Tyler said and he turns to Caroline. I turn around and open my phone texting Shane. "We have a problem. The plan is falling apart."

"You're a genius. I love you." Tyler said kissing her. "Mmm. I love you, even when I hate you." Caroline said "I got to go find my mom, let her know I might actually graduate." Tyler said and he walks out.

Caroline calls Bonnie. I listen to the phone call.
"Caroline, hey." Bonnie said and Caroline turns around. "Bonnie, I need you to think fast. I know that the daggers don't work on Klaus, but what if we put his essence into Rebekah? It'll work, right? Say it'll work." Caroline said "Slow down. Slow down. What's happening?" Bonnie asked "Just come on, Bonnie. Will it work?" Caroline asked and I look down at my phone to see a message from Shane. "Fix it." "Yeah. I don't see why not." Bonnie said "Oh. Bonnie Bennett, I love you." Caroline said "Do you need my help? I can leave Elena here with Jeremy." Bonnie said "Elena? She's there, too?" Caroline asked "Yeah. She came with Damon. Who's being slightly less horrible than usual." Bonnie said "You know what? I can't deal with this right now." Caroline said and she hung up before turning and looking at me.

"She said it would work." Caroline said "I gathered. Congratulations." I say "Thank you." Caroline said before walking to the door which I move out in front of. I snap her neck and watch her fall to the floor. I look at her body. "My pleasure." I say and I text Shane. "I'll fix it. You'll get your twelve."

I was walking in the crowd of people trying to find Tyler. Tyler is trying to call my mom and he sees me in the crowd and he walks over to me. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be taking the witch to the cellar." Tyler said "There is no witch, Tyler." I say "What?" Tyler asked "I made it up. "I never intended for you to put Klaus down. I needed him for the sacrifice." I say "What?" Tyler asked "I don't know how to explain it, but I made a deal with someone who can help me find my family." I say "What are you talking about? What kind of deal?" Tyler asked "There needed to be 12 for the sacrifice, Tyler." I say "12 what?" Tyler asked "I'm sorry." I say "Hayley, what did you do?" Tyler asked "If you run now, you might make it out alive." I say and he turns around and runs away.
