February 2018 - Jen and Justin's amicable split.
Jen's POV
Well it's out there another public statement for the end of another relationship. Why does something so personal have to be addressed to the public? I know this is part of the job description but we don't owe anything to anyone. I mean can the life of an actress just be about the artistry? Guess its a little over twenty years to late to be asking such absurd questions.
Phone Rings - Justin's name appears on the screen
Jen: Hey you!
Justin: Heyyaa! Hows it going? I know the statement was just released.
Jen: Im good, yeah Steven called me this morning and gave me a heads up! I can already picture the headlines ...There goes another failed marriage for Jen.
Justin: oh come on Jen! You know you're better than that to believe what the fucking media has to say about your personal life.
Jen: Yep you're right about the media... they can run their mouth. It just sucks you know? This will be news for a bit while all attentiom from our careers are taken away.
Justin: Yeah , i feel you. Listen we know our truth... we good right?
Jen: Yes beyond good! Justin I know we're not bitter and this relationship ended on a beautiful note. But, I am sad. I wish in another life we could have made this work.
Justin: Jen, the time we had together will not be forgotten and the time moving forward will be to cherish our friendship.
Jen: Ahh, you were always good with them words!
Justin: Okay well I gotta go, I've got lunch with the team for the next project. Call me if you need anything, I will let you know when i'm in LA next. Okay?
Jen: Yes go do your thing! We'll talk later! I love you!
Justin: Love you too! Bye Jenny!
JEN POV
End of any relationship is always hard. While the relationship between Justin and I ended on a good note ... I hate that this had to end. I know its not fair to be in an unhappy relationship, but its the fear of public scrutiny and the aftermath of a public separation that itches the wrong way. I just have to keep reminding myself that Justin and I have great love and respect for each other and most importantly our friendship. Friendship that trumped our actual relationship for quite some time now.
A week later - much needed girls night with Courtney, Andrea, Kristin and Amanda.
Courtney: Who wants another round of margaritas?
Jen: Yes please! Half salt rim please.
Kristen: Im sticking to this bottle of Pinot Grigio.
Jen: Kristin this is Mexican night... you're missing the point with the bottle of wine.
Kristin: no the point of the night is to get drunk and have a good time... stop policing my alcohol of choice.
Everyone Laughs
Dre: Jen we're holding another circle of manifestation session next weekend, are you interested? You haven't attended the circle meets in a long time and this might be good for you.
