Lake Como - George is holding a small gathering with Friends. The Clooneys are known to host friends from time to time. Super mellow event, everyone shows up to have a good time.
BRAD POV
As planned and slightly pressured by George I showed up to Lake Como. I've only been here once back in 2017. I missed out on George's wedding and his move to Italy as I was dealing with my own shit. But, its been nice to catch up and bring back the good ole times.
George: Heya! Look who showed up , The man of the hour!
Brad: Hey guys, its super quite in here for a gathering.
George: Gathering doesn't start till later in the evening. You and I, my friend are gonna go visit my vineyards and enjoy a nice relaxing lunch.
Brad: sounds like a date to me.
George: yep! I mean come on who else would you want to be on a date with? Plus, I could really use your expertise for the vineyard.
A couple of hours pass George and Brad come back to the Clooney residence.
Brad is walking behind George as he checks through his emails on his phone. He is expecting an email from his divorce attorney. Brad hears George scream out JenJen! A confused Brad looks up.
George: JenJen!
Jen: Hi Clooney!
George: You showed up early, were you that excited to visit us?
Jen: Oh please , shut up! I was excited to see the twins and of course Amal. We were actually just thinking of ways to leave you behind and go on our much needed girls getaway.
Amal and Jen laugh.
George: Always pleasure to have you here JenJen! And please take them whenever you need to I could always use the space.
Amal slaps the side of George's arm.
Jen: Hey man, looks like you just lost some brownie points there.
George, Jen and Amal crack up laughing.
BRAD POV
I notice Jen standing by the kitchen island. She doesn't notice me as she has her back turned. I hesitate to walk into the conversation as I was lingering behind George checking my emails. Her hair is beautiful blonde just how I remember it. Im nervous yet excited, I never thought we could ever be in the same room... here we are in Lake Como at the Clooneys residence. It sounds like nothings changed but yet a lot has changed.
George: Brad! Come in here dude.
JEN POV
My heart drops as I hear George say Brad. It must be someone else, I slowly turn and catch sight with a familiar face. A face that I haven't seen in years, a face that I cried for years trying to forget. I feel heat running up my body and flutters in my stomach as I force a smile as he walks over closer.
Both Brad and Jen going in for a hug.
Jen: Hi! How are you?
Brad: Hey! Good! How are you?
Jen: I'm good. Thanks.
