Aaron's car pulls up to his driveway. He notices there is someone at his house's front door, attempting to look inside and talks to himself as he watches them.
"Of course, a kid gets strangled at my daughter's school, first house a detective gets sent to is mine."
He reaches into the glove compartment in the passenger's side and pulls out a rather small handgun. He slowly exits the car and carefully walks toward the walkway while hiding his gun behind him.
"Excuse me... Can I help you?"
"Oh! M-Mr. Walsh..."
Aaron now notices that the person at the front door of his home is Mia, his receptionist. He quickly tucks his gun into the back of his pants.
"Mia... What are you doing here?"
"Your daughter invited Brenda over and, I guess Brenda's car wont start now. So your daughter called me to see if I can come give Brenda a ride home."
"Right..."
Aaron reaches into his pocket to find his house keys. Him and Mia are at the doorstep under the light when the front door opens up. Rebecca stands there looking at both of them with a straight face.
"You gonna come in, or do you need a minute?"
"I just came to get Brenda, but thanks for inviting me in. Just tell her to come--"
"Nonsense! Get your ass in here and have a drink!"
Rebecca grabs Mia by the arm and pulls her in the house. Aaron looks around the front of the house before entering. He makes sure the door is securely locked behind him.
Inside, Mia stands nervously by the living room. Rebecca is in the kitchen shaking a drink mixer while smiling at Mia. Aaron hangs up his jacket and heads to the refrigerator.
"You can have a seat, Mia."
"Oh, no thanks. I'm not gonna stay long."
Aaron takes a can of beer from the refrigerator and walks to the living room. He sits and clicks the remote to power the television on.
Rebecca pours the drink she was mixing into a glass cup with ice and lemon wedges, then drops another lemon wedge on top of it. She walks the drink over to Mia.
"Caipirinha?"
"What?"
"The drink. I made it just for you."
"Thanks, but..."
"But what, woman? Why don't you just unclench those cheeks? Relax, have a seat!"
"Where's Brenda?"
"Oh, she's... Uh... She'll be right out. Now come on... Let's put this over here..."
Rebecca takes Mia's purse and puts it on the table, then takes her jacket while handing her the drink, and guides her to sit on the couch adjacent to the one Aaron is in.
"Drink up, come on, tell me if its good, its the first time I make this shit..."
Mia has a very confused look on her face. She raises the glass to her lips and takes a quick sip. She licks her lips afterward, and Rebecca smiles at her.
"Well...? Is it good?"
"Mm hmm... Its... Very good, actually. What did you call it?"
"Caipirinha. It's a Brazilian drink. I'll have some with you."
"Wait, aren't you... Under twenty-one?"
"Ahh don't be so tight... How 'bout you, daddy, you want one?"
