I stood in front of Tony's office door with my arms behind my back. I inhaled and exhaled a deep breath as I reached my hand up to the door. Before I could put my hand up, it opened suddenly. I quickly retrieved my hand and placed it back behind myself. Chi Chi was standing there with a huge grin on his face," Señorita Marina," He widened the door for me," Come in-Come in!" I hesitantly walked in, Tony was standing against his desk studying me.
Chi Chi looked over at Tony and gave him a thumbs up," Good boss?" Tony nodded his head," Bueno." Chi Chi exited the office leaving me and Tony alone. I continued to stand in the middle of the room with my head low. Tony reached his hand out towards me, taking my hand in his. He swiftly pulled me over to him and wrapped his arms around my waist," Why jou act like tha-huh?" I fiddled with the buttons on his shirt, trying not to get a glance of him,"Like what?"
I felt his hand crawl up to my face and he lightly pinched my chin with his index finger and thumb. He lifted my head up so I had no choice but to look at him," Like tha-Like jou scared of me- like I'm a lion and jou a lamb or something jou'know?" I shrugged my shoulders as I began to fiddle with his buttons again," I am scared...You're very intimidating Tony-" "Why?-am I ugly or something," He began to touch his face frantically," I look like a fucking rat don't I?-Cuño..."
I shook my head and cupped my hands against his cheeks, placing a peck on either side," If you were ugly, I wouldn't be having a baby with you." He gazed at me with those bloodshot eyes," That's good to know." Tony embraced me tight against him, nestling his head in the crook of my neck and kissing it softly. As I was about to wrap my arms around his neck, he pulled away from me with his eyebrows furrowed," Are jou really scared of me mane?" He looked at me intently waiting for a response.
I stood there for a second, not knowing what to say. I shook my head," No-no I-I'm not scared of you-I'm scared of what you can do-I mean...Look!" I pointed over towards his closed case of automatic weapons. He glanced over at the direction of my hand," They're for protection-I would never hurt jou or Amalita-Ever." I glanced at him as he grabbed my hands," That's the same thing Cesar told me..." The sound of his name made Tony tense up and he lightly squeezed my hand,"I'm not like that cockroach," He raised my hand and placed a kiss on the back of it,"I swear, I'll never hurt jou and if I do-Jou have permission to shoot me and take everything I got."
He placed another kiss on my hand," Deal?" He gazed up at me with a puppy dog look and a small smile began to creep on my face," Deal." Before I could do anything else, he quickly jolted up from his desk," Oh-before I forget," He scrummaged through one of the drawers of his desk and pulled out a couple stacks of cash," for jour friend's wedding."
He brought the money over towards me. I stared down at the neatly compacted bills and furrowed my brows," They only need $5,000 Tony, not-This!" He grabbed my hands and placed the money into them and shrugged his shoulders," It's a wedding gift y'know." I raised my eyebrow," Will you attend their wedding?" He shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly," Jou want me to?" I nodded my head as I grinned from ear to ear like a little school girl," Then I'll go." He sheepishly smiled, licking his white teeth in the process.
"Thank you Tony...I don't think you know how much you've changed my life in such a short amount of time." I hugged the money close to my body waiting for a response. Tony grabbed ahold of my hand again and cupped it between his rough hands," Like I said-Jou deserve everything-the whole world." Still holding my hand in one of his own, with the other, he reached into his front pocket and pulled out his wallet. He held the card in between his fingers," I want jou to take this-and go shopping today, have some fun y'know."
I scrunched up my face at his gesture," Tony-no. T-This is too much-" He shook his head and held my hand out," Take it for me...please?" I continued to stare at him blankly," Tony, I can't..." Tony still didn't budge," I'm going to the Bahamas for business and I want to take jou with me," He pulled me in closer to him,"And jou can't be on a yacht with these kind of clothes,"He gripped my waist pulling at the belt loop of my dress pants.
I finally rolled my eyes and huffed," Okay, okay fine. I'll take it." He lightly tapped my butt and smirked," That's my lady tiger." I rolled my eyes once again as I walked away from him," Have fun for me okay?" "Sure Tony." I walked out of his office and to the spare bedroom I was crashing in until I got my mind right. I grabbed my purse from the nightstand and stuffed the money inside it.
"Mommy are you ready?" Ama questioned as she stood outside the bedroom door," Yeah baby, you ready to go?" She nodded her head and held her hand out for me. Without hesitation, I grabbed ahold of her tiny hand," Mommy can I go say bye to Tony?" "Sure honey." She smiled as her excitement grew. She pulled my hand as she rushed forward towards his office. Once we got to the door, I knocked twice. We both heard a 'Come in' and I opened the door. Ama immediately let go of my hand and rushed through the door," Tony the Tiger!"
Ama held her arms out for him as she rushed over to his desk. Tony picked her up and spun her around," Mi princesa." Ama latched her arms around his neck and hugged him tight," Jou happy to see me or wha?" Ama joyfully nodded her head with a huge grin. I looked at them in awe as I watched their interaction. It was evident that Amalita adored him as if he was her own father. It made my heart flutter, seeing her so full of joy.
"I'm gonna paint a picture of you!" Tony glanced at Ama with shock," Jou are?" She nodded her head and smiled," Yeah, you're gonna be in jungle like a tiger!" Ama explained to him with such excitement," Jou gonna paint me and my tiger?" Ama shook her head," Noo, you're gonna be the tiger!" "I-gonna be the tiger?" Ama nodded her head once again. "Make sure jou give me big muscles y'know," Tony raised one of his arms and flexed them," like dat."
"Okay I will-" "Jou promise?" Ama nodded her head and held up her pinky and Tony did the same," Promise!" Their pinkies intertwined, authenticating their agreement. Tony let Ama down and they both walked over to me," What about jou mama?-What are jou gonna do for me?" He raised his eyebrow. I shifted my weight to one leg and crossed my arms over my chest.
Tony began to smirk as he waited for my response. I mentally rolled my eyes and sighed," I'm going to buy clothes..." Tony grabbed ahold of my hand," For what?" I rolled my eyes for real and gave him a half smile," For the Bahamas trip." Tony kissed the back of my hand and winked," That's my girl." He swiftly pulled me closer to him and pecked my cheek multiple times," Have fun okay." "Okay Tony."
"Don't forget my painting princesa." "I won't Tony the Tiger!" Ama held onto my hand and we walked out of his office in unison.
