"You think you can just walk into my palace and run everything I built to the ground?" A stern voice spoke to me in the huge dark room. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and squinted at the slender figure. I felt for Tony, who was sound asleep beside me," You would still be in that shack you call a house if I didn't hire you!—I trusted you Marina and this is the thanks I get!" Elvira stood there with a pistol in her hand and pointed straight at my head. My hands shook uncontrollably as I held them up in the air,"I-I'm sooo sorry I didn't mean to—" Before another word could come out, a gunshot went off.
My body shot up from the bed, my lungs were about to explode from my chest. Sweat was beading down my forehead, and I wiped it away with the back of my hand. I glanced over at Tony, his back faced towards me as his snores erupted from his body. I tossed the covers from off my body and swung my legs to the edge of the bed. I carefully got up, trying not to disturb my stomach and rushed to the bathroom. I twisted the knobs on the sink and splashed water onto my face. I grabbed a small towel from the counter and wiped the water from my face. I gazed into my reflection and stared at my growing bump. I turned to the side and rubbed my stomach. An instant wave of dread cascading over me, after the Bahamas trip, it seemed like my life was moving so fast.
Somehow, Tony convinced me to stay in his mansion, I really didn't want to. The nightmares are proving that now. Living here was the safest option to him, and nothing could convince him otherwise. I walked away from the mirror and shut off the lights in the bathroom, and walked back to the bed. I laid back down but jumped at the sudden touch of a hand," Jou okay pussycat?" Tony groggily asked as he caressed my bump,"Yeah, I just had a bad dream—I'm fine - go back to sleep." Tony sat up on the bed with his elbows,"I'm not going back to sleep until I know jou’re okay."
I placed my hand on top of his and gave him a small smile," I'm okay Tony, I just have a lot on my mind." "What's on jour mind Marina— this the time to relax jou' know. Happy mama, happy baby." I pierced my lips together and huffed," I'm not happy here, Tony. I'm trying so hard, but I can't do it." Tony laid back down staring up at the ceiling. He rubbed his face and glanced at me,"Jou really hate it here, huh?" I lightly nodded my head, trying not to offend him,"Jou like the other house that much, mane?" I nodded my head again, and he sighed. "We can work something out in the morning huh—get some sleep, okay? No more nightmares." He grabbed my hand and held it up to his mouth, placing a soft kiss to it. "Goodnight, Tony." "Buenas noches mi amor." Tony turned his back towards me, and I did the same, sleeping on my side. A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I closed my eyes.
I sat down at the dining table with Ama asleep in my lap, munching on my breakfast. Tony sat adjacent to us, his hand on my thigh,"I want you to stay here Marina—it’s safer." I rolled my eyes,"You can put cameras all over the other house—I don't care, I just want to be away from here, Tony." He glanced at me with those dark eyes, I could see his jaw clenched shut,"You said, happy mama, happy baby, remember?" Tony took his hand off my thigh and wiped his mouth with the napkin," Mama’s not in her right mind— what's tha called uh–Pregnancy brain." My eyes widened at his statement,"you promised—" "I didn't promise anything, I said,'We'll work something out.'" I crossed my arms over my chest,"Well," I gestured my hand out towards him," work something out—mama’s not happy." Tony sat back in his chair and stared at me blankly,"Jou can stay there on the weekends, the rest over here."
