Lunch definitely didn't go as planned but the duo still made the most of it. They ended up just staying at their house, watching TV, then headed over to that BBQ place that Naruto used to go to when he was still chasing after Sasuke and his gay ass.

Naruto couldn't figure out how Sakura and Hinata always knew where they were by the end of it. I mean, sure, they go to Ichiraku every day for lunch and it got rudely interrupted twice by them but... it still didn't make sense.

Anyway, Naruto and Sasuke hugged for like five minutes, not wanting to let go of each other, but they had to since Naruto is Hokage and everything. As soon as Naruto stepped one foot through the door, he turned his head to see Shikamaru and Kakashi discussing something quietly.

"Ahem!" Naruto made sure to make his presence known. Wouldn't want to get struck in the head with a kunai, now. Kakashi was the first to turn his head to Naruto.

"Oh, hey Naruto," Kakashi said, with an eye-closed smile. That smile, hiding under his mask, which only Obito has seen.

Lucky bastard...

"Hey Naruto, seventy-seventh time you've made it one time, that's a whole record," Shikamaru said, in a sarcastic tone. Naruto rolled his eyes and made his way to his desk.

"So, what were you two discussing?" Kakashi and Shikamaru shot each other a glance before Kakashi nodded.

"I came back to grab something and noticed that piece of paper on your desk." Naruto raised an eyebrow, not following along with what Shika was saying. "Y'know, the one with the picture of the man with purple hair and yellow eyes?"

"Oh, that piece of paper! I know, apparently, Gaara sent it to me, at least we know he and the others are still alive." Naruto said, looking back down at his work. Kakashi nodded at his former student.

"True but there's a reason why Gaara sent it." Naruto looked up.

"And that reason is?"

"Well, about a month ago, Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki from the Ōtsutsuki clan attack the Sand village." Naruto's eyes widen with fear. Naruto opened his mouth to ask something but Kakashi stopped him.

"And to answer your future question, no one was killed. However, hundreds were badly injured. Gaara had decided to send this paper to give us a little warning if he attacks our village."

Naruto let out a visible sigh of relief. No one's dead, he didn't kill anyone, he told himself.

"So, in case that does happen, we have to prepare the ANBU ninjas and prepare ourselves," Naruto said, followed by Shikamaru and Kakashi nodding.

*knock*

*knock*

All heads snapped towards the door, which had someone on the other side.

"Come in!" Shikamaru yelled. The door opened, and guess who had the audacity to come to the Hokage Tower.

Hinata Hyuga.

Naruto rolled his eyes, Shikamaru facepalmed, and Kakashi just stared with a disapproving look on his face.

"Jesus Christ," Naruto whispered.

Hinata walked towards the desk and slammed her hand on it, making the three of them flinch.

"Would you be careful, do you how many times this desk has been broken over the years?" Kakashi deadpanned, fixing his mask.

"I'm truly sorry for interrupting whatever you guys were doing but I have a complaint to make, Naruto-Kun." She said, her eyes filled with rage, which didn't faze the three men.

Naruto sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Hinata, if this "complaint" of yours is about the fact that I'm getting married to Sasuke-Teme, then you can gladly complain to the door." He replied, clearly not wanting to deal with her bullshit, whilst pointing towards the door she just came through.

"Exactly, wait," Shikamaru said before realizing what Naruto said. "Naruto, you're getting married?!" Naruto looked up at Shikamaru and nodded with his classic smile on his face.

"You didn't tell me this," Shikamaru then turned to Kakashi. "Kakashi-sensei, did you know about this?" Shikamaru asked.

Kakashi nodded, and Naruto gasped.

"How did you even know?!" Naruto asked. Kakashi sweatdropped and scratched the back of his neck.

"Well, I may have spied on you and Sasuke during your little picnic?" He said, turning red from embarrassment.

Then Naruto and Shikamaru gave each other a look before nodding.

"That makes sense, you are Kakashi-sensei after all," Naruto said, with a sly smile. Kakashi just rolled his eyes.

"Ahem!" Hinata said, butting her ass into that conversation. Kakashi looked like he wanted to leave. Naruto was about to bash her head and yeet her out the window, and Shikamaru wanted to scream.

"Oh, you're still here?" Shikamaru deadpanned whilst fighting back a chuckle when Hinata looked offended.

"Am I gonna have to get a restraining order against you and Sakura?" Naruto asked, leaning back into his chair while smirking. Hinata went from offended to scare since she wanted to keep stalking him, just like in the old days.

"N-no, o-of course not, N-Naruto-Kun!" She frantically said, waving her arms around.

"Ok, great! Now get out of my office." Naruto said in Kurama's voice, sending a chill down her spine.

She turned on her heel and bolted out of the office, bumping into Itachi, who was coming in to ask if he could start planning the upcoming wedding.

Hinata fell to the ground, ass first. Itachi looked down because he thought he bumping into Naruto, but once he saw it was Hinata, he gave her the harshest glare he could muster.

Hinata yelped in surprise and fear and successfully got up, quickly bowed to Itachi, and bolted out the front door, screaming Sakura's name.

"I thought she would never leave." Kakashi sighed. Shikamaru and Naruto nodded.

"So, what brings you here Itachi-san?" Naruto asked.
