"Riley, Riley!! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" I hear someone yelling through the haze of my dream. The voice is getting louder and I keep trying to shut it out but that high pitching voice is still piercing through my dream.

"Stop" I mumble still some what sleeping. The voice stops for a second. Then I feel someone grab my arm and begin to shake me.

"Riley Wake up!" And then I'm awake and looking into the face of Becca.

"What do you want?" I grumble, turning over in my bed to look at the alarm clock.

"Becca, its eight o'clock on a Saturday....wait its Sunday. Oh crap I've got to get ready for church!"

I scramble out of my bed and start to frantically sift through my clothes for something to wear.

"Riley! Mom and Dad already left!"

I pause "Then why didn't they wake me up? And why are you not dressed or with them?!" I go back to my clothes.

"That's what I'm trying to tell you! They said you didn't have to go this week so you could sleep in a little."

I stop rifling through my clothes

"Then why did you wake me up?" I ask as I brush pass Becca and climb back into bed.

But instead of leaving me alone to some blissfully peaceful sleep, she climbs up onto my bed and starts to jump up and down.

"Because....I...want to go......to.....the park" She says between jumps.

"Becccaaaaaa" I say rolling my eyes.

"Please!" She says, clasping her hands and leaning down so shes leaning over me.

"Becca"

"Please! Pretty please!"

"Uh, Fine"

"Yaaaayyyyyyy!" She yells, bouncing off my bed and running to her room.

"We leave in twenty minutes!" I yell after her. I hear a faint ok coming from the direction of her bedroom. I laugh and start to pull the blankets off of me.

I pull some jeans and a brown areopostale t shirt on then throw my hair up into a bun. I'm leaving my room and meet Becca in the hallway who obviously dressed herself.

She has her princess dress on but put some patched up jeans underneath.

"Um, how about we get you an actually shirt"

"Rileyyyyy"

"Come on..." I grab her hand and she reluctantly follows me into her bedroom.

I find a purple long sleeved shirt with butterflies on it and pull it over her head.

"But Riley, I want to be a princess!"

"You already are a princess" Becca grins at me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"Breakfast" I say, pushing a bowl towards Becca and then grabbing a box of Lucky Charms and pouring it into her bowl.

"Eat up" I pour milk and drop a spoon in, splashing milk everywhere.

I grab myself some fruity pebbles cereal and start to eat at the table next to my little sister who has milk dribbling down her chin. She makes a face at me and I make a face back.

"Lets go" I say, my mouth still full as I look down at my watch. Becca nods in agreement.

We wash the bowls in the sink and then I help Becca wipe her mouth. We walk to the car, my purse slug over one shoulder and my keys gripped in my other hand.

We drive for ten minutes to get to the park, all while Becca is grinning from the back seat, clutching her rabbit stuffed animal that she's had since she was a baby.

I park the car and Becca immediately jumps out and makes a beeline for the swings.

"Please push me Riley!" Becca calls as I'm locking the car and walking up the path to the playground.

"Just a sec!" I call back, walking a little faster.

Becca squeals as I push the swing, higher and higher into the air. I laugh as she giggles.

Eventually, Becca grows tired of swinging and runs off to play on the slides with a couple of other kids her age. I take a seat on one of the hard, wooden benches and watch her play while I start texting Amber.

I hear someone running towards me, and I look up to see Becca running towards me, her eyes shining.

"Play tag with us!" she says, grabbing my hand and pulling. Her friends watch me eagerly from the playground.

"Ok ok, just a second, let me put up my stuff."

I walk back to the car and unlock the door, throw my purse in the drivers seat (Except for my keys and phone) then lock the door again.

"Alright, I'm ready!" I yell sliding my phone and keys into my pocket.

Becca and her new friends squeal and start running away from me. I chase them around the swings and the slides, past the monkey bars but finally I have her cornered in the little playground tower.

"Got you!" I swipe my hand out and touch her shoulder just as she tries to make an escape down the slide.

"NO!" She screams as she makes her way down the slide. I laugh when she reaches the bottom and starts to chase another little boy.

A few minutes later, Becca comes up to me, still sitting in the tower.

"I"m tired Riley" She says, yawning.

"Do you want to go home?"

"No" but even as she says that she starts to slump against me.

"Alright, come on" I pick her up and carefully make my way down off the playground with Becca falling asleep.

I yank my keys out of my pocket and unlock the car door.

"Get buckled" I say, setting her down in the car. She doesn't protest but instead gets her seat belt on as I close her door.

I slide into the front seat and put the key in the ignition. I've turned the car on when I hear Becca from the backseat.

"Thanks Riley"

I turn around to respond but Becca is already fast asleep.

"You're welcome" I whisper to myself and the slowly shift the car into drive.

A/N

I am really sorry that I haven't updated in a long time! I'm working on two new books that I want to have finished before I publish them so I've been a little distracted from this book. I may end this book early so I can focus on the two other books instead.

Anyway, thanks for being patient with me! Please vote and comment!
