Kodi Shepard- The Outsiders

I was released from the cooler about 10 minutes ago and I'm walking home. I was locked up for two months for fighting behind a store with three guys. Before I go home I am going to stop at the drugstore that is near my house because I have my suspicion I am pregnant. I say that because two months before I was locked up, I was at one of Buck's parties and I was drinking a lot and I know for fact that I had a one night stand with Dallas Winston.

I have been feeling sick in the morning and noticed some other changes as well. I just want to make sure. About another 10 minutes and I reach the store and get some candy, a Pepsi, and pregnancy tests. I pay and leave, drink my Pepsi and some of my candy as I walk. I walk into my house and see Tim and some the gang there.

"Hey Kodi, 'bout time they released ya." Tim said getting up from chair and giving my a hug.

I hugged him back tightly. Tim and I are really close and we share everything with each other, we have no secrets. So I whisper in Tim's ear my suspicion and what happened at the party. He nods and follows me back into my room. We have a two story house with 6 bedrooms and three bathrooms. We have the main downstairs bath, and then upstairs one in my room and one in Tim's.

I go into the bathroom and do what I need to while Tim sits on my bed. I sit with him on my bed with him hugging me until it is time to check. We both go into the bathroom and look at the three tests on the counter and see all three positive. I turn to my brother and start crying into his chest as he hugs me. I know for fact Tim is going to kill Dallas, I am keeping the baby and not having anything to deal with Dallas, and I am going ro schedule a doctor's appointment.

Tim sits on my bed while I shower and change since it has been two months since I changed and showered. When I finished up we both went back into the living room and I sat on the couch next to Dean and Tim took Curley, Ryan, and Josh with him to go hunt Dallas down. That just left me and Dean in the house.

"What's wrong Di? Please tell me" Dean says gently and worry.

So I tell him the story and I'm pregnant with Winston's kid. And how I want nothing to do with him and I am keeping the baby. Dean pulls me into his side and we cuddle. We catch up on everything from the last two months.

"I love you Di. I have for years." he says.

"I love you too Dean, I've loved you for years also." I tell him.

"Will you by my girlfriend?" he asks looking down at me.

"Yes, I'd love to." I reply instantly. We then kiss and it is gentle, full of love and sparks.

"I will help you through your pregnancy and help you raise this this baby Di. I promise." he says.

"I know you will and I wouldn't want the father to be anyone but you." I say.

"I am honored to be the father" Dean says and gives me another sweet gentle kiss.

The two of us decided to call and get an appointment for 11:30 and then go to lunch after. I left a two notes for Tim, one on the front door and one in the kitchen on the fridge. Dean and I get in his Impala and then head to the hospital. Once we get there and checked in at the front desk we didn't even have to wait, they were ready.

The nurse led us back to a room and then asked a bunch of questions and check my heart rate, blood pressure, the usual stuff. When she was done the doctor walked in and she had me lay down on the table and lift my shirt. She warned me about the cold gel before she put it on. Dean sat in a chair on my right, he leaned forward so he was on the front edge and grabbed my hand bringing up to his lips and kissing the inside of my wrist every now and then.

"If you look at the screen you can see the fetus." the doctor said as she moved the wand around. She also pointed to the screen gaining our attention.

"I can tell you the gender if you want." she said.

Dean and I looked at each other and whispered what we wanted and then said in sync, "we want to know."

"It's a girl. Congrats."

I had happy tears falling down my face along with Dean. He stood up and leaned down placing his lips on mine in a gentle, loved filled kiss. We got a couple extra copies of the picture and left after wiping the gel on my belly. He made my next appointment at the front desk and then headed to a diner.

I got two cheese dogs and tutor tots with ketchup and cheese. I ordered a root beer float to drink. Dean ordered a cheeseburger and cheese fries with a chocolate milkshake. We talked about the baby and what we needed to get and do while we ate. Once we finished eating Dean paid and then we went back to house.

We walked hand in hand into the house and made our way over to Tim and I handed him a picture. I whispered in his ear it is a girl and Dean and I are dating, he is going to be the father. Tim then told everyone the exciting news and told us how bad of a shape Dallas is in.
