"Get her!!!"
A group of masked men sped up as they ran after a young girl. They were armed with large weapons as though they aim to rob the poor girl of her life.
Panting, the lass stopped and hid behind a concrete wall for a moment to catch her breath. Tears were running down her face like a river escaping a dam. It seemed like she was running for hours and her petite legs were starting to give out.
And as though a light at the edge of her dark tunnel, she saw a single path that could possibly lead to her freedom. Gathering what's left of her energy, she jerked her right foot forward and started to dash for her escape right away.
Reaching the said path, a blinding light welcomed her making her hands fly up to protect her eyes from it. As she put her hands down and her eyesight adjust to her surroundings, the slight glimmer of hope that was present in her golden orbs were washed away as fear immediately took over.
She thought that she could finally get away but alas, fate has something different in mind. The rest of the villains were waiting for her by the clearing as if they anticipated that she would come through there.
It was a trap!
She looked back and attempted to return from where she went through but the group who were running after her already caught up and were blocking all the potential exits. The only thing she could do was take little steps as she tried to stay far away from the villains that were forming a circle around her, successfully trapping her inside.
The teen was then shaking uncontrollably as crocodile tears poured out from her glistening golden eyes once again. The pulses of the loud, racing beat of her heart can be felt all the way to her fingertips.
Heavy breaths can be heard from her slightly agaped pinkish lips. Her hands then fly out to her chest in a sloppy attempt to calm her palpitating heart. She shut her eyes tight as she counted to ten under her breath.
While faced with darkness, she can her the footsteps of the men approaching her by the minute. She tried to fight the fear that was embracing her full body as though it was cradling a newborn baby but was rapidly losing.
One of the villains stopped frozen on his steps as his eyes widened upon the sight of the girl. The rest followed suit as they saw her too.
The girl's once shaking arms were now limply hanging at her side. Her head was slightly tilted down that made her long black locks cover her face. The men were cautiously watching her as they took careful steps with their weapons facing the unmoving lass.
With no energy left to use, the poor girl couldn't do anything as she succumbed into the darkness that was enveloping both her body and mind.

As soon as a call for help was made, heroes fled to Mugen District as fast as they could. And being one of the fastest, Hawks arrived first. Tokoyami, along with the other heroes working with the number two hero, arrived a few minutes after Hawks did.
Their eyes widened in surprise to see almost hundreds of dead bodies surrounding the place. By the looks of their outfits and equipment however, it can be easily distinguished that they were villains.
"Who....", Hawks didn't have the chance to finish his question as his gold-brown eyes caught sight of a lone girl with blood dripping down from her body, standing in the middle of the deceased bodies.
Tokoyami immediately followed Hawks and was frozen still when black orbs bore into his red ones. Shivers ran down his spine as the girl looked at him intensely, as if assessing whether they were enemies or not.
With a slight movement, the bloody girl took a tiny step towards the heroes that later turned into full-blown running. The others, along with Tokoyami, were prepared to defend but Hawks signalled them to stop.
The girl had her hands out as she sprinted towards the heroes but a sudden pulse from within made her stop. Her head then hung limp from her neck that startled Tokoyami and the others witnessing the scene.
The people watching had their breaths caught in their throats as the girl's head slowly tilted up. Her long black hair was a mess and covered a part of her face. However, her right eye is visible, only it wasn't the scary black hue before. It was replaced by a beautiful shade of gold.
But no matter how mesmerizing her eye looked, Tokoyami can sense the immense fear hiding behind them. Tears formed at the edge of her eye as her mouth opened to talk.
"H-Help..", her voice was rugged and strained. The girl tried taking another step forward but instead, she fell over as her eyes completely closed.
Her limp, bloody body fell on the ground with a thud. Tokoyami's red eyes widened in surprise and instantly leaped into action. He ran closer towards the girl and reached out a hand to her face. He moved the strands of hair covering the girl's face and tucked it behind her ear. When he was sure that she was unconscious, he nodded to Dark Shadow to carefully lift her up.
And with Hawks' guidance and help, the girl was safely carried to a hospital.
