I was dreaming peacefully of my gardens. When I heard a familiar voice singing not far from me. It was soothing and comforting. I knew there was only one being on earth that it could be.
I turned and froze. How? Why after millions of prayers to the moon goddess? Why now? I turned tears already running down my face. "Mom..." the words left my lips just barely before I was scrambling to her.
"Shhhhh, my little pup. I'm here." Her arms around me felt so real. I even felt Elena purr. "I see you got your lycan." She looks into my eyes brushing my tears with the thumbs.
"Yes mom, her name is Elena and she is pretty magnificent. Although I don't know her very well just yet. Mom I missed you so much. I love you. Uncle Max..." I hesitate as she interrupted me. "Alpha Maximus will pay in due time my love. I've missed you so much my pup. I love you endlessly. I'm so, so proud of you." She pulls me back into a tight hug.
After telling her all that has happened. My mother slowly stood from beside me. "My pup I do not have much more time. I need you to remember what I'm about to tell you. There are storms coming. Once you shift people will come for you." She looks at me with anger. " Do not trust just anyone. Stay close to Weni, oh, and Beta Mechelle. Once you turn 18 don't ever return to the BlackMoon Pack. Trust the Moon goddess she will guide you. As will I. Goodbye for now my pup. I love you."
With that she disappeared. I felt a stray tear fall down my cheek. Warmth had crossed over me. Then I woke up. The sound of birds filled the shack. I woke up before my alarm so I decided to take a quick run. When I felt that same presence as before. I decided it was time to turn back anyways. Weni would be by to get me any moment.
As I approached my shack, Weni was walking up to the little gate. "Hey granny. I went on a run this morning to clear my head! I'm ready for the morning already. Let's start chores a bit early today."
"Well goodness look who is up and ready for the day!" She winks at me. "Let's head to the pack house sweet girl." We walked to the pack house and inside.
Alpha Maximus and Lonan had business off pack grounds which means the she wolf was with them. I was relieved the morning went so smoothly. Chores were done quickly so I got to head out for a few hours until dinner time.
As I was leaving someone grabbed my arm. I turned to see Beta Mechelle standing with a rather large black bag. "Beta Mechelle good afternoon! How can I help you?" I bowed nervously, remembering my mothers words.
"No need for formalities Liviana. First and foremost, please understand, I swore to your mother I wouldn't leave this pack till you were 18. I promised to keep you safe from Maximus no matter what. You should know I am a hybrid. Half warlock half wolf. I use my warlock side to mask or cloak myself as Weni does for you."
He looks uncomfortable. Something I'm definitely not used too.
"I'm sorry B- , I mean Mechelle, I am not sure what to say.." Why is everyone swearing to my mom and just now telling me. Well if you would listen I'm sure he will tell you. Don't be arrogant. Elena so cheerfully decided to chime in.
