This is it. We are not going to die, Livi. You're being incredibly dramatic. After all you're not alone in this change. 'You know it's rude to intrude on my thoughts. Aren't you even a little scared?' No, I am excited. We are going to learn so much about ourselves. There are things I can't explain now. Don't worry Livi. I'm not going anywhere ever again.

I hate it when she is right. I have no reason to be scared. I am just becoming more me. ' Thanks El. I know I'm not alone anymore. I'm just nervous I suppose. I don't know what powers I'll have till they are here. I'm not sure what to expect. I'll stay strong.' Good, now go shower you stink.

I gathered my things and went and showered. I always felt most at peace in the water. Maybe I can hop in the creek tomorrow. That would help ease my mind. My mind thought back to the smell of my mate. My heart started to ache. I pushed the intrusive thoughts to the back of my head.

I have a lot going on. My mate is lucky I cannot put them in danger.

I finished up and got changed. I met Weni and a very excited Lucious in the kitchen. "Good morning you two. Awfully cheerful aren't we?" I said greeting then with sarcasm. "Thats because your training starts now. Now, princess, thank you or joining us finally." Weni laughed and tossed me a basket.

"It's time to prepare. Lucious has a complete list of herbs and plants needed for the ceremony. You will gather them together. Lucious has agreed to stay with us and train with you. Now get some breakfast and you two and go start." Weni had given her orders and left the room.

Leaving a very awkward silence. "Have you eaten Lucious?" I asked politely. We would after all be spending a lot of time together. "No I haven't. Would you like me to help you prepare something?" he asked getting up. "No thank you. I can whip us up some food real quick. Granny is serious about training." I giggled.

When Lucious laughed he lt out a snort. Which only made me laugh harder. We spent breakfast joking around. I read the paper to keep up with news. There had been a few more rogue attacks. I wonder if there is any connection to Lucious and his attack.

Once we finished breakfast, luscious and I went to the gardens. We picked lavender, sage, lotus petals, and the rest of the long list granny gave us. While I filled Lucious in on who I am. Well, who I am supposed to be. I waited for him to take off running.

He never did take off. Instead he smiled and hugged me. Don't touch. Elena growled. Ignoring Elena I hugged him back. "Sorry, she thinks our mate will reject us if I get too close. It isn't anything personal. I have been secluded and alone, with only granny, for a long time." I gave him a small smile and hugged him back.

For the rest of the day we got to know one another. He was exiled as I was as a child. When his coming of age party began he ran. Not wanting to be stuck where he wasn't loved. I found solace in the fact he felt my pain. The thought of anyone hurting luscious quickly angered me.

"Hey, don't be upset!" he frowned. "If I hadn't left I never would've met my new bestie." he winked and nudged me. "For what its worth Liviana. I would've been your friend, even before you saved my life." His words sounded almost sad. I decided to change the subject.
