I started to run as fast as my legs would carry me. I was in the middle of a town I have never been in. Surrounded by people I had never seen. I ran and ran till I reached the trees. Elena. Elena! I tried to call for her but she wasn't there. Once I reached a cave in the side of a nearby mountain I went inside.

It was dark but for some reason I felt completely safe here. Then it hit me. The smell of sandalwood, leather, and lilacs. It sent chills up my spine. What is this? When I heard a voice, "Liviana, he is coming. He will keep you safe. He has been looking for you."
What the fuck?
Nope. No thank you creepy cave voice.

That smell caught my attention again. Then I felt someone right behind me. Not in an ominous way. Yet, in a caring but mysterious way. "Wake up." What?
"Wake up, sleepy girl!"

I slowly blink my eyes open to see Weni with breakfast. "What time is it?" I asked stretching the sleep from my muscles. "It's 7:30 you have an hour to eat and shower before chores. I heard you tossing and turning. So I decided breakfast before chores would be best." She gave me an energetic smile set the tray down and walked back to my kitchen.

After I ate my breakfast I washed my dishes and took a quick shower. The hot water running down my skin felt so nice after that nightmare. Like a hot spring. I wanted to disappear in it for a while. I am so tired of these cryptic dreams. What if I don't want to know who I am.

And who the hell is this mystery person.

After I got dressed Weni and I went to the pack house for chores. The last mating ball I had to be here for and they had to hold it here. I really hated these things. Magical beings from all over attend. It used to be just for wolves. However we have learned sometimes fate has other plans.

Luckily for me during these I was to remain unheard and unseen. Which is surprisingly easy for an orphaned wolfless servant. You know cause I have no friends and absolutely no reason to attend.

Except to meet our mate. Liviana we have to find our mate. I'm sorry Elena. That will be our last evening here. I intend on leaving the next morning. I don't have time for a mating ball. Sure don't have time. It terrifies you someone just might love us doesn't it. Whatever. I'm going to sleep. Elena. Elena...
This damn lycan is a pain in my ass.

The ball would be in 4 days. The day of my birthday. My last day in this hell hole life. I continued to think about how life may be after I leave till lunchtime. The one upside to the Mating ball being here at the pack house, is the higher ups are to busy to bully or beat me.

Once lunch was served I went out to the gardens. My favorite time of day to be here. The sun bounces off the greenhouse like diamonds glittering. The butterfly garden is buzzing with activity. They say butterflies bring good luck and change. Yet I've tended to these butterflies almost my entire life.
Who knew the change would be so big.

The day went by smoothly as I decorated the ballroom with ribbons. Silk curtains were hung and the patio doors open to the flower gardens. I liked this part. If I ever could I would throw parties all the time. Big fancy ones everyone is invited too. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the dark figure at the trees.
