Day 1-KiriKami-Expresso Confessions

Ding, dong. The doorbell announced someone's arrival.

5 am. Just like every day.

And if he was correct, one exact person would be arriving at the counter right about-

"Good Morning!"

-now.

Kirishima looked up from organizing the cups to see a golden blonde boy standing across from him. 

"Hey! What can I get for you today?"

"Same thing as yesterday haha."

"Yea, I figured, I'm just hoping one day it'll be different. 5 shots of expresso everyday isn't really that good for you, you know."

"I know, but it just tastes so good!"

"Alright, so I should put you down for the sunshine set again today?"

"Yep!"

Kirishima shook his head with a chuckle and wrote down the name of the blonde on the cup. He didn't know why he bothered asking goldie for his order, since it never changed.

He ordered the exact same thing every single day, and the not-natural redhead still occasionally expected him to change his order.

He didn't understand why he wanted 5 shots of expresso. The guy practically bounced around everyday. But he was a enjoyable presence for so early in the morning. Kirishima was the only one on morning shift and he welcomed the golden blonde's energy. 

He remembered when he first saw the constant bundle of energy enter the café. Aizawa had him coming up with names for a few of the newer drinks as part of his job, since there weren't going to be too many people coming in for the first hour. He was struggling to think of a name for one of them, which was a mix that when all parts were completed was close to a gold in color. It was a dark roast, with optional expresso added. He was still thinking of ideas when he saw a golden blonde stranger walk in, walking straight to the counter with a bounce in his step. The sun in human form, that's what he reminded him of. And once the blonde had received his order and taken a seat, the redhead turned to the paper listing possible names and the ingredients needed for them and added the name that came to mind when he saw the stranger: Sunshine Set. It came with a muffin or a bagel as an option, so he just thought of the entire thing as a set.  

He glanced over at the boy who was waiting by the pick-up section of the counter, looking at his phone. He smiled.

What would happen if he removed the expresso from the drink again today? You don't really taste the expresso in the drink anyway, the rest of the mix overpowers it. 

He thought about it for another second and then decided to test his theory. If the golden boy notices, he would add the expresso shots in, but if he didn't notice, maybe he could help the guy out. After all, it was extremely manly to make sure others were healthy if you could help. And 5 shots of expresso every day seemed to be pushing it.

He finished making the drink and added a muffin alongside it.

"Hey Kami, here's your order!"

Kaminari came in often enough that while they hadn't confirmed a first name basis, they both allowed the other to call them by a shortened last name. 

"Haha, thanks man."

"Yea, no problem, just doing my job." Kirishima responded with a bright smile, one you didn't see too often this early in the morning. 

Kaminari glanced at the redhead and then turned away, his ears pink.

"Yea, lemme just get my daily expresso and I'll be on my way!"

He picked up the coffee and took a drink from it.

"Mmm, perfect as always. You really do make the best coffee, Kiri."

"Yea, thanks..." Kirishima breathed a sigh of relief as the other hadn't seemed to notice anything missing.

He watched as the blonde glanced down at his phone, his cheeks turning the same pink his ears were. The golden blonde bit his lip, responded to whatever the message was, and turned off his phone.  

Kaminari put his phone in his back pocket and looked back up to lock eyes at the red haired barista, who looked away as soon as he realized he was staring. 

Well, here goes nothing.

"So I've been coming here for a while and I've noticed there's been something different about my order every once in a while."

"Oh, uh, just tell me what's wrong and I'll fix it. I'll even make you a new one, free of charge!"

"No, it's fine haha. I never actually needed all the extra caffeine from the coffee anyways. I um, I actually don't come here for that."

The other looked curiously at him. "What do you mean, what other reason would you have to come to a coffee shop if not for coffee?"

"W-well, about that..." The golden blonde closed his eyes and took a deep breath. 

"What I mean to say is I come here for you. I saw you working here when I was going on a walk one morning a few months ago when I couldn't sleep and I just saw you and I thought you looked really cute and so I maybe kind of made an excuse so I could come here everyday to see you?" He sped up at the end of the sentence and then made the end sound more like a question.

"You come here...at 5 am...to see me?"

"Yes? Don't take that as an insult to the coffee though, it's awesome! It really is, it's just that I kinda have ADHD so I'm already kind of bouncing off the walls with energy as soon as I wake up and the coffee doesn't really help. I just kind of said the expresso because it's the first thing I thought of, and I didn't want you to catch me in a lie so I kept getting it, and I guess now we're here."

"Right. So you're here for me. I uh, I don't think I've had someone say that to me before. This is new for me. But I'll listen."

"Well, I was just chatting with my friends, they know about me coming here, and my crush on you. And we kinda just decided that today is the day I'm gonna confess...so uh...here we go...I like you. I've liked you since I first saw you, and I know I don't know you that well, and you don't really know me either, but maybe we could go on a date and get to know each other? "

The red haired barista stood in shock blushing for a minute.

"Uh, y-yea! That'd be great. A date! Yea, that's super manly!"

"Awesome! I'm really glad you said yes."

"So uh, is there anything else you need before you go?"

"Actually, there is one thing. You took out my expresso shots, and I've already finished my coffee, so could I have your number instead?"
