As I was getting ready for school I couldn't help but notice the marks on my arm were gone. That's weird... maybe I was just imagining it? I finished getting ready, went downstairs, and I noticed my mom was gone but she left me some food. I quickly grabbed a couple pancakes and an apple because I was really hungry for some reason before walking out and making my way to school.
As I walked into Beacon Hills High all I could think about was how much the sun irritated me today. My skin felt like it was on fire for some reason, but when I got inside I was fine. I went to my locker and opened it, getting the books I needed for today. As I shut my locker I looked to my right and noticed a girl with long brown hair staring at me. I gave her a small smile and she quickly returned it.
"I'm sorry... can I help you?" I asked, quirking an eyebrow up and crossing my arms over my chest.
"No, you're fine, I've just never seen you around before." She said, pointing out the obvious.
"That's because it's my first day here." I said, rolling my eyes as I went to put the lock on my locker.
"Oh, well, uh, welcome to Beacon Hills!" She said, obviously feeling awkward, but trying to put it off with a smile.
"Thanks." I said, returning the smile and looked past her to see another girl with strawberry blonde hair walking up to us.
"Hey, Allison... who's this?" The strawberry blonde asked, smiling at me.
"Oh, I'm Skyla. I just transferred here." I said, keeping the same smile.
"From where?" The strawberry blonde questioned, leaning into the locker next to Allison.
"Los Angeles." I said, causing the strawberry blonde to get super excited.
"I'm Lydia, but you can call me your new best friend." She said, her voice full of excitement as she walked over to me. She also pulled out her phone for me to give her my number.
Later in the day was gym glass and today they were doing rock climbing. Lydia and I went together and absolutely crushed it. More students went together and I wasn't paying attention to anything until I heard a girl crying. I noticed the person next to her had jumped down and it was Stiles. We gave each other a bit of a look. Everyone was laughing, but I felt sorry for the poor girl.
After gym class I decided to walk into the boys locker room. The coach yelled at me, but I just gave him a look and he backed off. I strutted over to Stiles' locker, leaning against the one next to it.
"In many different positions, are you eve-." He said, but I cut him off by laughing a bit and he immediately turned around to me. "What are you doing in here?"
"Why didn't you tell me you went to this school?" I asked, standing a bit closer to him. I saw the boy he was talking to walk out along with a few others.
"I, um, what do you want from me?" He asked, sounding a bit annoyed.
"I don't want anything, I just-," I stopped talking as I suddenly felt the taste of blood in my mouth. I wiped my lip and sure enough there was blood on my hand after. I looked up and Stiles was staring at me in shock.
"Holy sh-," He stopped himself as I looked at him, scared. I quickly ran over to a sink as I looked into the mirror I couldn't believe what I saw. Stiles ran over to me with his friend from earlier.
"Why do- why do I have fangs? What's happening to me?!" I said as I turned to them, breathing heavily to try to calm myself down.
"I don't- I don't know." Stiles' friend said, I just stared at them in disbelief.
"Wait, last night, when you were in the woods... you looked really panicked when you stepped in front of my car. Was something after you?" Stiles asked me. I shrugged my shoulders, not really knowing.
"I don't know, I just remember hearing what sounded like footsteps so, I just ran. I thought maybe it was a coyote or something, but when I got home I noticed something on my arm." I said, showing them my now blank arm. "But it's gone now and I- I have fangs and the sun hurts and- it's like I'm living in Twilight, like this is just a weird dream.... pinch me."
"Uh, ok.." Stiles said before pinching my skin, I could barely feel it, but I still flinched.
"So, this isn't a dream? This doesn't make any sense..." I said, pacing around a bit.
"Well school's over so, let's go." Stiles' friend said, I followed them as they walked out of the locker room.
We decided to go in the parking lot and basically hang out around Stiles' Jeep until Derek got here. I don't know what he would've known about whatever was going on with me, but getting to see his face again wouldn't be a problem.
"You guys are lucky I have nothing better to do. So, what's the problem?" Derek said as he walked up to the group. He somehow looked even better then he did last night. I checked him out a bit as the boys talked to him about whatever was going on with me.
"Ok, Skyla, show him." Stiles said as all the boys turned to look at me. I just gave them a simple smile, but my fangs had already retracted.
"Um, I don't really know how to activate them yet..." I said, feeling a bit shy. "But I would really like for someone to tell me what is going on and how this is real life right now. "
"I'm a werewolf and so is Scott." Derek said as he walked over to me, standing in front of me. His eyes started glowing red as he looked at me and when he smiled his teeth were really sharp. I tried to back away, but I was already against the Jeep, using the shade of it. "And it seems to me like you're a vampire."

Werewolf"Derek..." I said his name faintly as I felt the life drain out of me and saw the look on his face, I heard a faint 'noooo' as he ran towards me and the last thing I remember was the feeling of his hands on my body before everything went black.
