I had no idea what was happening, but I was suddenly at the police station, sharing awkward glances with my mom as I waited for Stiles and Scott to get done with whatever was happening in the interrogation room. I pulled out my phone before my mom could ask me any questions, I looked at Derek's contact, smiling sadly at it. Scott told me he was ok, but he hadn't texted me all day. I sighed before deciding to text him.
'hey, you! just making sure you're still alive' I heard a door open and I put my phone in my pocket, but it was just Jackson. Great. I smiled at him, but his jaw was tense. I watched as he looked me up and down, just like he did that day in class.
"You again. The only girl in school who isn't interested in me."
"Well, I only said that 'cause I have a boyfriend."
"Figures... I hope it's not one of those bozos in there." He used a thumb to point at the door, obviously talking about Scott and Stiles.
"Oh, uh, no. They're just- I mean- who are you talking about?" Smooth, real smooth, Skyla. A few seconds too late I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I opened it to see a text back from Derek.
'Still alive. Miss you.' I smiled at the text, putting my phone away now with a peaceful mind. I looked back at Jackson, smiling gently again.
"Hey, uh, what's your name?"
"Skyla." I heard a door open and I watched as Scott and his mom went down the hall. "I gotta go, but I'll uh, catch you again, hopefully." I got up and ran down the hall, catching up to Scott. I reached out for his arm and he turned to me, a bit relieved.
"Skyla! About time you show up."
"Sorry, I was home and I had to walk, but what happened in there?"
"Jackson filed a restraining order against us. We have to stay fifty feet away from him at all times."
"And let me guess, you guys are gonna use me as bait to get him to confess who his master is?"
"Yeah, that- that's about right."
"Fine, but this better be worth it."

I walked into the library with Allison, watching as she slipped the tablet in the empty spot on the shelf so the boys could read it on the other side. I was scoping the area, but also looking at books as I half-listened to their conversation. Some of it Allison had already told me about on our way over to the library. Nothing on that side was interesting to me so, I moved onto the side Stiles and Scott were on. They both looked at me and I just smiled back before they went back to the conversation.
"Nonsense, we have Skyla." I heard Scott say, causing me to perk up and look back at them.
"Have me for what?"
"To talk to Jackson about his parents. Get all the information you can."
"Yeah, I can do that."
"If he does anything you run away."
"I have fangs and two fists... I think I'll be ok."
"I just, I have a make-up test to do and I won't be there if you need backup. He could do anything."
"Like?"
"Anything... weird or bizarre- anything."
"Anything evil." Stiles cut in, standing a bit too close to me. I stepped on his foot before stepping back and walking off with a random book in my hand.
After a few minutes of just walking around the school like a lost puppy I finally saw Jackson and followed him as he went down the hall to the boy's locker room. I was a few feet from the door when I felt my phone buzz. I groaned as I pulled it out of my pocket, but my mood instantly changed when I saw Derek's name.
"Hey, what's up?" I said as I brought the phone up to my ear, leaning against the wall.
"I, um, I just wanted to ask if you'd maybe wanna do something Friday?"
"Sure. What did you have in mind?"
"Well, it wasn't exactly my choice, but it's some underground show. I- sorry if that's stupid I don't-,"
"No, no, it's fine! Of course I'll go. Just let me know what time to get ready and stuff."
"Yeah, ok."
"I gotta go, see you then!" I didn't even wait for him to respond before I hung up, hearing gagging coming from the locker room. Jackson. I walked over to the door, hesitating before going in. "Jackson?"
"In here." I took in a deep breath as I walked over to the showers, seeing what I thought I was going to and instantly turning around. "Is something wrong?"
"Yeah- I mean, no. I just wasn't expecting that."
"You're the one that walked into the boy's locker room."
"I was just- I, um- you know what, forget it."
"Did you wanna talk about something?" He was now behind me, I shut my eyes for a second before answering.
"It can wait."
"No." I shut my eyes again as I heard his hand slam against the wall. "Let's talk now."
"I actually just remembered I have to- to meet up with a friend and- and do friend- friend stuff."
"Oh, no, you're not getting away that easy." I finally opened my eyes, keeping them on his face. "Are you okay? Your heart's beating like crazy."
"I just I, um, I-I have to go." I started to walk away, but he stopped me by getting in my way.
"I thought you wanted to talk?"
"Not anymore." He walked closer and closer to me and I backed away, my heart beating against my chest as he pressed me against a wall.
"Is it because of that stupid boyfriend? I bet he doesn't even exist, you just made him up in some little fantasy world of yours. You're probably so lonely, but it's a shame because of how beautiful you are." His words hit me like a brick, but I didn't let him get to me. I slammed a fist into his gut, causing him to go to the ground. "Skyla? When did you get here?"

Werewolf"Derek..." I said his name faintly as I felt the life drain out of me and saw the look on his face, I heard a faint 'noooo' as he ran towards me and the last thing I remember was the feeling of his hands on my body before everything went black.
