this chapter has some slight romance with Stiles in it, but don't worry! we end up with Derek in the end. however, if you want to skip this chapter, you can.

Later that night Allison had invited me over to hang out with her and Lydia because I texted her telling her I felt bad about blowing her off. Lydia had headphones in so we took it as a time to talk about her involvement with the 'supernatural world'.

"Ok, so, my family are all werewolf hunters... we have been for years- I, um, I don't know about vampires, but I still dated Scott so, I'm sure I can stay friends with you too." Allison said, holding onto both of my hands as we sat across from each other on her bed, not completely sure about how I would take the news.

"Oh, uh, wow." I said, not really knowing how to feel. "That's... interesting."

"Yeah, I can trust you to keep that to yourself... right?"

"Of course! My lips are sealed."

"Are you ready yet, Allison?" Lydia asked, looking over at us.

"Ready for what?" I asked, looking back and forth at the two.

"Oh, um, we're going ice skating with Scott and Stiles." Allison said, letting go of my hands to get up. "You can come if you want."

"Oh, sure! I love ice skating!"

The ice rink was kinda awkward. Scott and Allison were obviously endlessly in love, Lydia and Stiles looked like they were about to make out, and I was making little circles around the rink in my lonesome. That was until Stiles came up to me.

"You look kinda sad." Stiles said, reaching out for my hand. I quickly grabbed it, noticing Lydia was on the other side of the rink.

"I guess I've gotten a little rusty." I said, now going in circles with him. "You like Lydia a lot, don't you?"

"Yeah, I have for a long time, but I've gotten nowhere."

"I can help you. Come on." I pulled him over to the locker room so we could get some privacy. "Ok, so, um, what gets me weak in the knees is letters. Something cute and sappy, or maybe even a text. Also some affection like..." I pretended to put a strand of hair behind his head and dragged my hand down to cup his jaw, lowering his chin to meet me eye to eye. "that. Next step would be to kiss her, but I don't know if you're ready for that yet."

I went to pull my hand down, but he grabbed it, keeping it on his jaw. We made eye contact for a bit before leaning in. Our lips met, but only for a split second before we heard screaming. We were quick to run back to the rink, Stiles speeding over to Lydia. I stood with Allison and Scott, equally as confused as they were.

The next day at school the only thing I could think of any time I looked at Lydia was about how I kissed Stiles last night. She probably wouldn't have cared if I told her about it, but I still felt bad. After school I saw Stiles alone at his locker, so I took the opportunity.

"Is this locker taken?" I asked as I leaned against the locker next to him.

"Oh, uh, Skyla, hey!" He said, looking a little nervous.

"Hey, so, last night... let's pretend it didn't happen. I know you don't care about it, but any chance you and Lydia have together, I don't wanna get in the way of it. I care about you both." I said, being sincere.

"Aw, that's cute how optimistic you are, but you're right, we should probably never kiss again." He said, sounding sarcastic the whole time.

"You are unbelievable." I walked away from him, then realized I had no way to get home, causing me to stop in my tracks and turn back to him. "Can you actually drive me home?"

The drive home was pretty quiet, but only because I made Stiles shut up anytime he opened his mouth. Once we pulled into my driveway I grabbed my bag off the ground before opening the door, but Stiles grabbed my arm and stopped me.

"Can we kiss again? Just to see if anything's there?"

"Fine." I pulled my arm out of his grip, getting out of the car. Once I walked in the house I could see my mom in the kitchen. I tried my best to walk past, but she stopped me.

"Hey, Sky, how was school?" My mom asked, I looked over my shoulder to see Stiles was walking up behind me.

"It was- it was good." I said, smiling at her gently before speed walking over to the stairs. I put my hand out, signaling for Stiles to stop walking. I waited for my mom to turn around before telling him to go. We ran up to my room, I locked my door behind me once Stiles got in.

"Ok, I am clearly not the first boy you've snuck into your room..." Stiles said, I wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or not.

"Well, before we moved we lived in a one story place so, they would always come through the window." I gave him a bit of a smug look before hovering over him on the bed. "Are you sure you wanna do this? You seem really nervous."

"Yeah, I'm sure." He placed his hands on my waist and he pulled me closer to him, causing me to fall on top of him on the bed. It didn't take long before our lips touched, the kiss went on for a bit, easing into a pattern. Once I could feel his tongue I pulled back.

"Ok, we made out. What did you think?" I asked as I got off of him.

"I was kind of picturing Lydia's face the whole time..."

"Ok, good, because I felt barely anything. Let's never do that again."

"I agree, we shouldn't." His phone buzzed and he pulled it out of his pocket. "I, uh, I gotta go." He said in a panic before unlocking and running out my door.
