"Hey Kait! Wait up!" Ash yells out.
"I'm really sorry for blaming you. It was my fault. I take all the blame.. However, I did a little thinking. And I think it would be awesome if you joined our team!" Cilan nodded in agreement.
"That would be great!" Kait replies, while Zacian pops out of its Pokéball.
"Looks like Zacian's stoked about it too! We can all travel across the regions together!"
However.. Ash thinks. I just hope I also get some alone time to discuss things with Cilan.
"Is everything okay, Ash?" Cilan calmly asks with his soft monotone voice.
"Oh! Of course! In fact I think we should go to a different region right away.. Possibly come back to Unova a different time."
"Why is that?" Kait questions.
"Well.." Ask looks over at Cilan who beamingly smiles at him. "We had this other girl on our team."
"Understandable." Kait replies. "So where to?"
"Where are you from?" Cilan asks.
"I am from the Galar region! That's where I got my precious Zacian. Would you like to go there? Train tickets are on me!"
"The Galar region?!" Cilan's eyes begin to sparkle. "Dynamaxing, new Pokémon.. A new flavor-able and spicy adventure!"
"What's Dynamaxing?" Ash asks curiously.
"It's when your Pokémon become jumbo sized!" Kait laughs. "Their moves also turn into really strong moves that deal a lot of damage."
"Can Zacian Dynamax?!" Both Ash and Cilan ask excitedly.
"No," Kait replies. "But that is because Zacian already has the power of a Dynamaxed Pokémon thanks to its sword!"
"I'm so excited! Let's get a move on to the Galar Regio-" Ash's stomach begins to growl, and Cilan rolls his eyes as he picks up the food he set down earlier.
"I'm sorry Kait, I only got enough for two. I wasn't planning on having another teammate!" Cilan smiles.
"That's okay! I kind of wanted to explore a little more before we left anyways! I'll catch up with you two later!" Kait replies as she ran off.
"So.. Cilan?" Ash says as he lowers his hat to hide his blushing face.
"What is it, Ash? Is everything okay?" Cilan worries as his smile fades. "You hardly touched your food."
"Are we a thing now?.."
Cilan gulped, trying to swallow down his anxiety.
Come on Cilan.. You failed the other opportunities you could've told him. Don't fail on yourself again now!
"Yes Ash... We are a thing now."
Ash tipped his hat upwards, showing tears of happiness and joy, before giving Cilan a ginormous hug before scarfing down the rest of his food.
