Just as the two were walking away from Striaton City, Iris jumped down from a tree, scaring the life out of Ash. Luckily enough, Cilan caught him as he was falling backwards.
This seems fishy! Iris thinks. They aren't saying a word to each other... No.. There's no way Ash and Cilan could like each other! Ash is mine! Iris made an angry face.
"Uh hey Iris, are you okay?" Ash questions. Just then his stomach growled with hunger.
"Yeah I'm fine! Learn manners you little kid! And learn to be patient when to eat food! It will be hours until I decide to cook YOU something!" Iris screamed.
Ash looked so depressed about this. Being called little kid over and over again. Cilan didn't like the sound of this either.
"Okay stop fighting you two! I was going to make fruit cakes but it seems like only Ash will be able to eat them from the way your acting, Iris!" Cilan explains.
Only Ash? Iris thinks. There has to be something going on between them. There's no way he would only feed one person when he feeds hundreds every day at the cafe! This is actually starting to get interesting. Maybe if I add some "drama" into their little "relationship" I will be able to win Ash over!
Iris was smirking and Ash was already digging into the fruit cakes that Cilan quickly made. He claimed they were the best food ever and Iris wasn't paying attention and only got one. Iris didn't care all that much though.
"Hey Ash, there's seconds if you want more!" Cilan proudly says.
"Oh great!" Ash happily replies, and jumps over to the counter where the Connoisseur was baking. Iris followed him, and Cilan gave her an evil glare, making her shiver. Almost like a glare that was like, "I didn't say you could have seconds!"
"Uh Cilan I see no seconds..." Ash confusingly says.
"What? There should be seconds! I swear I remember making them!" Cilan states.
Just then, ash heard a noise coming from a nearby bush. He got curious and stepped a little closer. A Snivy popped out eating it's last bite of fruit cake, licking her lips.
"Oh wow! A Snivy! I gotta catch it!" Ash yells out towards his group. "Go! Pikachu!"
Pikachu jumped off his shoulder and was pumped and ready to attack.
"Pika!" Pikachu cheered, with electricity flying from its bright red cheeks. Right before Pikachu even landed an attack, Snivy hit it using attract. This gave everyone an idea that it was a female Snivy. Ash was about to send out another Pokémon until Snivy disappears and storms out using Leaf Storm.
"Wow what a high leveled Snivy!" Cilan states.
"Yeah I wonder if it abandoned its trainer for being a weak trainer. I guess Ash here, is lucky enough to even see the Snivy." Iris teased.
Right after they finished talking Ash ran off to find the Snivy. He was determined to catch it, no matter how hard it was. He was a lot faster than his group members so he saw Snivy a few more times. Trying to battle using Oshawott turned out to be the same as the one with Pikachu. Then Ash started swinging across vines to reach where Snivy was, but one of the vines couldn't hold the weight of a human and a pikachu on his shoulder. They fell on top of a huge Lilly pad and were relieved for a few seconds.
"Oh boy.. that was scary, wasn't it Pikachu?" Ash asks.
"Pika...." Pikachu says in agreement, while sighing the fear away.
Then, the Lilly pad started to sink, all the way until it reached Ash's legs.
"Quick Pikachu! On my shoulder!" Ash yells out.
Pikachu nods and climbs up his shoulder. They just kept sinking and sinking until it reached near Ash's chest.
"Pikachu! On top of my head!" Ash yells out.
"Pika...." pikachu doesn't move, more afraid of what will happen to its trainer.
"Pikachu I'll be okay if you're okay, promise!" Ash calmly says.
"Pikaaa..." pikachu hesitates but then climbs up on Ash's head.
Snivy was watching everything, seeing how much a trainer really cared for it's Pokémon. It obviously really wanted a trainer like that too.
Inside Snivy's Mind
Wow.. all of his Pokémon I battled didn't look forced to battle. They looked like they were.. enjoying it. And when they lost, the trainer congratulated them for trying their best instead of yelling at them, how weak they were. I think one more battle between this trainer and I will let him catch me!
"Ash!" Cilan screams out, while tossing a vine both him and Iris broke off. "Grab onto this!"
Ash's grabs tightly to the vine as Cilan and Iris both pull harshly, until they got both Ash and Pikachu out. Ash explains that he didn't give up yet and starts looking for Snivy again. They found her after some running. He tried using Tepig but the same thing happened with attract.
"This won't work, good try Tepig." Ash says as he was returning Tepig to its Pokeball.
He wanted to try Pikachu again until Pidove wanted a try.
"Okay! Pidove use quick attack before Snivy's attract hits you!" Ash explains. Pidove tries but the plan didn't quite work. The hearts swirled around Pidove but had no affect.
"Well that must mean Pidove is a female, duh! Can't believe you didn't even know THAT." Iris teased. Cilan rolls his eyes in annoyance.
"Sweet." Ash says, ignoring the fact that Iris was trying to tease him.
It took many tries of Ash's strategy of finally getting a hit with Pidove's gust. And then it took many more tries to catch the Snivy. It was a hard task, but a cool adventure.
"Come on out Snivy!" Ash yells out, as he tosses the pokeball in the air. "Together, lets be the best team in Unova, and beat every gym!"
"Snivyy!" Snivy smiles, then chuckles.
