It was the next day, a day after the incident with the bowl. Ash felt hatred towards the girl, and started to completely ignore Iris. Iris was beginning to get worried, and tried to talk with him, but it never worked.
"Ash please listen to me! I'm sorry!" Iris complained.
No answer. Just a boy lowering his cap and starting to walk faster.
We need to get rid of her somehow.. Ash thinks. I think I have an idea. I'll talk to her, pretending like we're friends. Then, me and Cilan will find a way to ditch her.
"Ash are you okay?" Cilan worries.
"Huh?.. Oh! Sorry I was day-dreaming. Sorry if I accidentally ignored anyone. I'm known to do that!" Ash pretends.
Iris looks up. "Okay I'll make a snack as a sorry present!" Then she raced into the woods grabbing berries.
Right here was a great opportunity to run for it, but instead Ash wanted to discuss things with Cilan first.
"Hey Cilan..?" Ash asks.
"What is it?" Cilan replies calmly.
"I was wondering.. if you would like to run away with me? Away from Iris?" Ash asks, sort of mumbling.
Cilan looked at him in a somewhat disbelief expression. "What..?!? Oh my goodness, Ash! You know we can't just leave her by herself!" Cilan replies.
"I didn't mean right now... I meant when we get to a Pokémon Center or something!" Ash replies.
"Still, no! That's a terrible idea! She's our friend right?" Cilan argues back.
"Fine! I'll go by myself!" Ash replies angrily.
"No! I won't allow you to do that!" Cilan angrily yells back.
"You love her, don't you?" Ash says, rather emotionless.
"I-" Cilan begins, but is interrupted again.
"Fine. If you love her, then I'll go by myself to make you happy." Ash states as he packs his backpack.
"That won't make me happy! Ash, I-" Cilan is once again, interrupted by how much Ash was complaining that he hated Iris.
"Oh my God, Ash! Let me speak for once!" Cilan snaps. "I was just going to say that I hate her, too! So stop being an annoying, fat stupid kid and let me talk!" Cilan finishes.
Oh no.. Cilan thinks. I really didn't mean what I said. And I lied. I was trying to tell Ash that I loved him, but confessing just made me even more frustrated!
"I'm really sorry, Ash.. I didn't mean what I said at all.." Cilan explains.
"It's fine... I get that a lot.." Ash says, holding in tears from the past.
"Uh? What do you mean?" Cilan asks, curiously.
"Well... most of my past rivals were mean to me.. and I had my friends, but the rivals were out of control. The worst was Paul. He treated Pokémon terribly and threw out any Pokémon he thought were weak! He released his chimchar, so I took him for my own and trained him. He now is an Infernape who beat Paul in the Pokémon league."
"Woah..." Cilan replies, as Ash names off many other rivals. "I didn't know you could pull through all of this.."
Then Ash named off his last two rivals, laughing because he already forgave Cilan.
"Now the new rivals are Trip, and Cilan."
Both of them laughed
"Man... You're so cute when you laugh.." Cilan accidentally says.
"What?" Ash replies, shocked.
Ash then hugged Cilan and started to doze off in his arms, catching the last few words Cilan said before too, dozing off.
"Yeah.. Let's run away together.."
