[[Here we go! The first chapter of "It Was You". By the way, I don't really like when authors change P.O.V's twelve times in one chapter just to have the reader informed about what the other characters are feeling. That being said, the P.O.V will be said at the beginning of each chapter and continued until the end. Enjoy!]]
______________________Sometimes, in life, unexpected things happen. Most of the time, these things create chaos that ripples into an ultimate disaster, but this wasn't the case.
Two fates forever intertwined, but never being carried out throughout the generations. As souls are reused, these fates finally meet in an unlikely way, and it seems fate made a mistake. Yet, these two boys knew, that they were meant for each other, in some way, shape, or form.
Felix
A year ago, I had been this shy kid going into the high school of Portugal, unsure of what people would think about my accent. The year later, I found myself known by everybody as "the school jock" or in some cases, "the school bully". Not the best second title, but something was better than nothing. That's why it didn't affect me much when kids began holding their hands their lunch money out as I entered the door.
"Too easy," I breathed out, my two best friends following behind and collecting the money. "Felix, over here!" I heard a familiar voice call.
Turning my head, I smiled at a brunette who was waving me over. "See you later guys, duty calls!" I shouted, earning chuckles and cheers from Ken and Toby.
Snaking my arms around the girl's waist, I kissed Marzia for a few seconds, earning cat-calls from athletes around us (as well as some disgusted expressions).
"Felix..." Marzia breathed out, interrupting the moment, "People are staring." I pouted, stuffing my face in the crook of her neck. "But we haven't seen each other in forever, CutiePie!" The Italian giggled, pecking my cheek.
"I have to go to piano practice, Felix. Love you!" And with that, she left me cold. "What, did she finally come to her senses and leave you? Toby, you owe me money!" I shoved Ken away by his head, rolling my blue eyes. "She just left for her piano shit, calm the fuck down."
Grinning widely, we strolled the halls, not bothering to on time for first period.
20 minutes into first, I came in, not being noticed by the teacher. I paused immediately when I saw my seat was taken by some red-head. "Hey, get the fuck out of my seat!" I shouted, dumping the female onto the ground. Laughs erupted throughout the class room as I tipped back in my seat, smirking down at her.
"Dick," she muttered, gladly taking the invitation some kid named Russ offered. Whoops and whistles began, before Mr. K blew an annoying whistle.
"Felix, you're late," he shouted.
"And you're an ass, are we done here?"
The black-hair teacher turned red, as if about to explode, when the bell rang, interrupting his fit. Grabbing my sleeve before I could run out, Mr. K muttered, "Mr. Kjellberg, detention after school." I scoffed, jerking my arm away, before leaving, catching up with Ken and Toby.
Classes passed with me hardly going to any, and C lunch finally came. The jerks from A & B lunch took everything good- like always- leaving us with reheated food.
Groaning, I grabbed the Styrofoam plate, getting things dumped on it. Leftover chili with shriveled vegetables and peppered corn; fan-fucking-tastic. I immediately dumped the tray in the trashcan, pulling out money and signaling Marzia- and mutual friends of ours, Anthony and Ian- to follow me.
We soon left to the best place in Azores: McDonald's. As my girlfriend and I sat in the backseat, Ian jeered, "No fucking in this car, guys," earning a laugh from Anthony.
"Screw you!"
"You wish!"
We erupted in laughter, Marzia being the only slightly awkward one there. I nudged her, casting a smile her way.
"Hey, lovers, we're here," Anthony rapped on the hood, a growl of two stomachs capturing my attention. The long-haired girl slightly laughed, rubbing her stomach.
"Come on, Felix, I'm hungry!" her Italian accent urged, her small hands dragging dragging out of the beat-down car.
The sun pierced my eyes as we ran up to the restaurant, the smell of burgers and ketchup immediately making my stomach rumble.
"Ian, can you please order for us?" Marzia asked, making the boy nod. We ordered what we always did as Anthony accompanied Ian to the register. "Gay, much?" I mumbled, slipping into a booth and squeezing Marzia's hand.
"Felix, if they want to be together, they can be," Marzia whispered, her face framed by soft, brown hair. "I know," I responded, slightly cringing as the two kissed each other quickly, "I'm just saying I'm happy being straight."
The girl rolled her eyes, squeezing my hand gently. I grinned back before being interrupted by a slamming of a tray on the table. "Get your food or else Ian will eat it," Anthony teased, Ian already stuffing fries dipped with ketchup in his mouth.
Minutes passed and we had made Marzia late for Algebra 2. My geography teacher- Ms. Finger- didn't seem to be to happy either. The whispers of, "I wonder how she got her name," floated through the room again, causing giggles to stir up the class. I laughed, and the teacher scolded me silently, before clapping her freckled hands.
"Class, though it is a bit late in the school day, I'd like to introduce you to a new student. Meet Cry, he has just moved from Florida." A sigh caught the attention of the class as a boy stood from a dark corner, shyly raising a hand.
The first thing I noticed, as did everyone, was a white, poker-faced mask that hid everything but two inches above his chin, exposing his bottom lip. His dark brown hair was disheveled, allowing a single, curled strand to stick out from under the mask. The boy, himself, wore an aqua shirt with black, skinny jeans, and red Converse.
A collective, dreamy sigh came from the girls as he whispered an, "Hello," and started to sit back down. I smirked, cupping my hands around my mouth, shouting one thing on my mind: "Freak!!"
The teacher tried calming the laughing uproar as Cry's mask landing on me. A small feeling bubbled up within me, but I payed no mind to what may have been guilt, only smirking at him and proceeding to throw a finger at him.
The bell rang, signaling the start of 6th period. Each class member left in hysterics, some pointing to the masked being. I, myself, was called for detention again, but ignored the woman's press to stay after class. Instead, I observed as Cry stayed still, before collecting his things and waving cheerfully at my teacher.
" 'Bye, Ms. Finger! I'll see you tomorrow!" Cry walked past me, muttering, "I'll see you tomorrow, friend," his bottom lip in a curve as if smiling.
I was left dubious. Did the kid really just get called out and smile about it?
I shrugged to myself, shaking my head. He's going to be a difficult one to break.
[[I know, not the best chapter. What can I say, it's starting slowly. Anyways:
