Marzia [[I never specified that the P.O.V's were limited to Cry and Pewds]]
I smiled when Cry and Ken's little announcement was announced over the intercom. How they had managed that was beyond me. "Anyone who touches my CinnamonToastKen will be punished," Cry had murmured in this deep voice that had caused many girls to get weak-kneed.
"And anyone who even touches my ChaoticMonki will face the consequences," Ken added, followed by a series of knuckle-cracks.
Their nicknames for each other were cute.
Slightly sighing, my eyes glanced to the dirty blonde who seethed in one corner. "Oh, Felix, if you had just shown your good side," I thought sadly, blowing a piece of my straight hair out of my face, "Then, maybe, we could've stayed a couple instead of just friends."
That day passed without many events, except Cry giving me the regular, "He's a good guy, Marzia, I promise!" Even though we were talking, it was hard to consider getting together with him since, just that day, I had seen Felix pound a guy named Jarid. But with the attitude that guy bad given in class, I wasn't really surprised.
The bell rang and I made my way over to his desk. I waved a bit as the Swede's face lit up, Felix pushing a boy next to him away to make room for me. Whispering a silent apology, I sat down and we began the regular awkward talk.
"Hi, Marzia. How are things?" he would smile, giving me his full attention.
"Good," I would reply, adjusting whatever I had in my hand that day, "just going through the motions."
We would talk for a bit and he would bring up that age old question: would I like to go out some time with him, maybe to our regular place? I would kindly reject, but promise him a day away from the weekends, and he would take that.
Today, however, was different.
"Marzia, do you know why Ken and Cry are going out?" This question jostled me, as I was already expecting the usual, and I had to blink towards him, making sure I heard correctly. "What?" The blonde's expression was unchanged, a few flecks of hurt in his eyes, but a general curiosity covering the pain. Felix repeated it back to me as if I was a small child, and I shrugged in response.
"Cry had feelings for Ken, and Ken had feelings back. One of them asked out the other and now they're going out, I don't see what's so bad about it." Felix sighed, nodding. "But they're so different! Ken has had so many mistakes in the past and he's a bully, like me. Cry is this forgiving little shit that wears a mask- I don't get it." I honestly had no idea why he was getting so caught up on this. Was he a homophobic?
"It shouldn't matter what a person did, does, or will do. It shouldn't matter how many quirks and faults the person has, everyone is imperfect. The only important things are those feelings one holds for the other, and if they are returned. Cry and Ken are together because they love each other, that should be en-" "So go out with me."
Seconds, minutes, passed of silence as a teacher began chastising me for staying in detention. I ignored her, still processing what he said as the blue-eyed teen smirked, getting up from his seat and heading to the door. "Two witnesses, Marzia, plus the kid in front of you- don't make me have to use your own words against you." He strolled out of the room, leaving me bewildered, then angry. I hated when he did that.
Rushing out of the room a few minutes after contemplating whether or not to say yes, I scanned the halls before tearing through, calling for his name. Finally reaching the entrance and seeing no car, I sighed, before something bright caught my attention. The light was coming from the right of me.
Peering at it, I followed it, before finding a small necklace and a note attached to it.
"Do you want to go out?" it read in horrible handwriting. I immediately recognized it as Felix's. Below the question were two crappy-drawn boxes. "Check yes or no. You know where to find me," followed by a drawn winky face. I peered at the necklace- a small, plastic diamond hanging from some thread. Felix most likely got it from a gumball machine: typical.
Stuffing it into my pocket, I wandered the streets for a bit, reflecting on my choice. I wanted to get back with him so bad, but his past. "It shouldn't matter what a person did, does, or will do." Did I say that?
Kicking a stone, a few verses of "Maps" drifted into my head and I frowned, my mind wandering a bit. I want to go to America one day, but now isn't the time. "I was there for you in your darkest time. Oh, I was there for you in your darkest night." I sang, before spotting the blonde slowly running home. "Felix!" I shouted, not earning his attention besides the quiet street. I broke out into a run, pulling out the note and clutching it in my hand, shouting his name repeatedly.
I finally caught up to him as he glanced my way, smiling. "Yeah?" Panting, I rested myself on my knees, smiling and not minding the hair that stuck to my head.
"Yes."
[[I'M BACK, Y'ALL!!
And towards the end of summer. *shrugs* Eh, you'll get more updates when I enter school. I'm weird like that, kay?I use a lot of songs to describe my scenes, huh? For the ending of this, I used the last few verses of "Maps" from Maroon 5 and read it starting from where I wanted and guess what? It worked! ^-^
Hm, I better start on the next chapter. By the way, I'm going to try shortening the chapters (as well as the paragraph for an easier read) and making the story more lengthy because I have a habit of finishing quickly and being impatient but I want to become an author, right?
Bleh, I'm rambling. Anyways:
Thank you so much for reading!
See you guys next time!
