tw: slight mention of suicide

R A C H E L
Dinner was painfully long. It felt like it was lasting forever. I wanted to leave, but that would be rude. Ira and Y/n just left the room, giggling away. I felt myself become angrier that it was her Ira was with and not me. My throat began to hurt as I held back my tears. They stung the corners of my eyes, as I found myself about to cry at the sight of their love again. Pathetic.

"Honestly those two.." Marmo muttered beside me, placing more pasta in her mouth. She smiled to herself. She had everything she wanted; Y/n, Y/n being happy, a loving home (whom she shares with Bel) and peace. I envied her. Marmo always tried hard for her goals and eventually, after years of hard work, completed them.

Before I could control my emotions, a tear fell down my cheek. Unluckily for me, it fell into my glass of water, making a pinging sound. Slowly, all eyes turned to look at me. It was embarrassing to say the least.

"Rachel..." Maya said softly. She sat across from me and I could practically see the frown on her face.

"Why are you crying?" An outraged Regina asked. "You're pathetic! Crying over a boy that doesn't love you!"

"Regina that's enough!" Johnny exclaimed.

"Stop ruining everything!"

"I'm SORRY!" I screamed, standing up, Regina's glare never fading. The tears streaming down my face like a waterfall. "I can't help who I fall in love with. Gosh, I really tried to. Some people fall in love with the wrong people sometimes."

"I don't care about your excuses! They're happy and you need to get over this little crush! Ugh, you infuriate me!"

Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. Regina still continued to glare at me and all I could do was glare back.

That was my last straw, and boy did I have a lot of straws.

"Did you hear that?" Ira asked me.

I did in fact hear that. It sounded like screaming, which never meant good news these days. What was worse was that it was coming from inside the house.

"Y-yeah I did. Should we go back inside?" I questioned, fear laced around my voice. I was thinking what of the possibilities of what happened inside. Did someone die? I could hear a heart beating rapidly.

"I think we should wait-"

"IRA-"

Suddenly, there was a loud exploding sound. My ears started to ring from the impact and I felt my body start to sway. I fell onto the ground next to Ira himself. He was passed out and could only lay motionless. I held his head protectively in my arms, as the wind continued to blow. I felt like I was being pushed into the ground.

"Ira? Can you hear me?" I asked through my telepathy. "IRA?"

I began to panic even more. Do I transform? Do I leave him and try to go back inside? Was everyone inside okay? I checked Ira's breathing before making any rash decisions; it was low and shallow but just about there. I silently began to cry over the overwhelming situation, as I shook Ira more aggressively. I was about to yell before I heard another bang. I looked up, with much struggle, and saw the faint outline of a human. Using one of the many powers I developed, I weaved my way through the fog to see Regina. But not the image I had hoped for.

She was badly beaten up and lead against the fence, the wind still pushing.

"REGINA!" I yelled. I tried to yell again, but my words just got whirled away by the wind. Surprisingly enough, she heard me and looked in my general direction, but not at me.

A couple moments later, the wind stopped abruptly and the sun came out. Confusion spread across my mind like butter. What just happened? Was it a dream? An illusion? It was like what Marmo used to say after a rainy day:

"dopo la pioggia il sole"

It's an Italian phrase; it means that after the rain, the sun comes. It's an optimistic quote, that I'm not quite sure if it could be used in a situation like this.

As my vision started to clear up, I noticed Regina running over to me frantically. Her tone raised and she looked like she hadn't slept in days.

"They're dead! They're dead! Everyone's dead!"

"I'M DEAD! I'M DEAD! WE'RE ALL DEAD!" I screamed obnoxiously.

"WE'RE NOT DEAD!" Natalie screamed over me. I was scared, anxious and freaked out. A couple minutes ago, I was sat happily eating my rice! Then next thing you know, Regina and Rachel are yelling at each other and we all get blown away by this huge gust of wind. We practically all went through the wall and ended up in this.. room? I'm not sure where, but it looks familiar.

"Where are we?" Mackenzie asked, as she proceeded to dust herself off. I slowly managed to calm down, realising that everyone was okay-

Where's Regina?

****************
"Okay so, Rachel, Y/n, Regina and Ira are still back at the house? Correct?" Natalie said, crossed legged on the ground. We were all sat on the ground, in a circle, as if we were little kids having a story time in the colourful nursery grinning excitedly. Except, we were not having a story read to us, the room we were in was a dull and meaningless room and none of us were grinning excitedly.

"Yes.." We all muttered quietly. I believe we were still trying to get our heads wrapped around it.

"Ugh, why didn't we die?" Natalie whimpered, falling back onto the ground. Everyone exchanged uneasy looked, even though it was easy to tell what she meant.

"H-hey, no need to get so sensitive princess." Bel said darkly.

"If you need someone to talk too-" Johnny tried to say.

"Oh gosh!" Natalie exclaimed sitting up suddenly. " I'm not suicidal! I meant; why didn't we die, literally. We were blasted through the walls! Literally and figuratively."

"She's more of a nut job than I thought she was.." Marmo whispered to herself. Suddenly, she turned to me. "You alright now blondie?"

"I'm not blonde. I have pink hair, see?" I said holding a strand of my hair in front of her.

"Well you're half blonde."

"How?"

"Your glitter outfit, avatar thingy."

"That doesn't mean you can call me bl-"

"WE'RE GETTING OFF TOPIC HERE!" Natalie screamed. Everyone in the room jumped; even Bel. Natalie, clearly frustrated, began to smile creepily. A violent shiver went down my spine, as if ice had been poured down there. "We need a solution to get out of here. Doesn't everyone agree?"

"I say, that we transform, find a way out of here and come back for the adults later." Mackenzie suggested, shrugging her shoulders.

"Hey! We're just as capable of getting out of here as you are!" Marmo said, her voice raising as she sent daggers over to Mackenzie.

"Why don't we look for a way out of here first before doing anything irrational. There must be something in this almost pitch dark room right? At least there's some light." Marie suggested softly glancing around.

And as if someone could hear us, the small remainder of light was cut out in an instant.

"You just had to say something to jinx it." Marmo said, sighing.

"Heh.. sorry."
