R E G I N A
I'm tired. It feels like we've been walking forever. I looked ahead of me and realised that the amusement park was actually, a water park. Great. What a lovely way to start our new chapter. I held Y/n's hand as we continued down the path. Eventually, cars pulled up with excited children bouncing up and down. Oh how I wish I had a childhood like that. Well, beggars can't be choosers.

"What do we do when we get there?" Ira questioned, breaking the silence.

"Hide? I'm not sure. We just needed to get away from there. It was a flight or fight moment." Y/n said, squeezing my hand. Her hands were cold against mine; fear practically radiating off her body.

"Well we're here now. We'll be fine. I promise to keep you both safe, even if it means risking my own life." Ira said quietly, bringing us in another hug. We really needed it.

Walking into the water park made me only notice one thing; the last time we went to a theme park, we were attacked. Coincidence? I could tell Ira and Y/n remembered it too, as their eyes began to flash of the memory. That was supposed to be a fun day where we could all hang out and enjoy ourselves. I know the Ira and Y/n definitely needed it.

"Hey what's that?" Y/n asked, pointing her hand towards the back of the water park. It looked like to be a forest. And a very large one. In fact, Splendorious had one just like it. I remember that the three of us would go there all the time. Y/n always got lost though. I remember it like it was yesterday.

*memory back flash*
"Let's go!" Little me yelled. Me, Y/n and Ira were running wildly towards the Forest of Dreams. That was what is was called. It was very sacred and almost everyone knew about it, but was scared to enter. Some believe it's cursed because of its illusions. By illusions, I mean all of your most desired dreams would come true and you would never want to leave.

You may be asking, why is that a problem? Well you see, once you get used to living your fantasy's the forest will begin to turn against you and you'll be forced to leave. Once you're out, you're not the same. That's what Bel told us anyway.

"Regina, Y/n be careful!" Little Ira squealed from behind me. He was always the worry sort.

"Come on Ira! Don't be a slow poke!" Little Y/n yelled back, her short hair flowing behind her. I giggled along with my friend as we entered the forest. We were immediately greeted by images of butterflies and castles. Once Ira came, images of books just about anything came up. Y/n sighed in annoyance.

"Ira," She started, "Once we're in a big castle with loads of sweets for days, you won't need to read! We'll be too busy!"

"No! I like to read about other things! What makes you think you'll live in a castle anyway?"

"Because, my handsome prince charming will get me one! And we'll live happily ever after. I can finally be the perfect princess! And because Reginas dad said so.." Y/n finished muttering the last part under her breath.

"Fine! What about me? You know, I-I can be your prince. I promise to buy you a castle!"

Y/n's eyes lit up excitedly. "Really? What fun! Regina, Regina! Iras going to be my prince and buy us a castle!"

Little me was happy, as I started to skip around with Y/n, singing 'Ring a ring rosie' over and over.

Hours past and three of us were looking at the strange bugs the forest held. At this point, we couldn't tell if it was our imagination or truly there. It was oddly silent.

"Regina... where's Y/n?"

"Huh?"
Ira was in fact correct. Where was Y/n? We began calling out for her, over and over again. Tears were everywhere and we decided to get Marmo. Even thought we tried so desperately to find her.

Long story short, Marmo was furious that we didn't stick together and lost track of Y/n again. It wasn't the first time. After about an hour, Marmo came back with Y/n peacefully sleeping in her arms. She lectured all of us that day and we weren't about out for a couple weeks.
Let's just say that we never went back. Its almost safe to say that after Splendorious was attacked, the forest disappeared.

*flashback end*
"Ira.." Y/n whispered, a tear sliding down her face.

"Yeah?"

"Do you still promise to buy me that castle?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I?" He replied smiling gently.

"Because I'm still not that perfect princess..."

To that Ira replied:

"To me, you are perfect."

Together, walking hand in hand, I know that we can overcome anything. As long as we have each other.

Y/N
Finally, after lots of walking, we had made it. It was bright and colourful; no cloud in sight. I, on a normal day, would enjoy being here. I looked towards my friends, who nodded at me. They started to walk in separate directions. I was confused and instinctively reached my hand out and grabbed them.

"Wa-wait," I said, suddenly sounding out of breath, "Where are you going? We need to stick together-"

"It would be safer if we don't. Rachel will be on the look out for us. She may see us but at least if we're in different locations, we can warn more people." Ira explained. I was speechless. They can't really expect me to just leave them? Not after I've lost everyone.

"I-, No.. I can't and I won't." I challenged confidently. Tears were starting to swell in my eyes.

"Hey.. We won't be far. I know it might not make sense to you but think of the lives we could save. All three of us being together will only give us unwanted attention. I'm sorry." Ira said slowly and sadly as he pulled me in for a hug.

The way he held my head in his hands, as my body relaxed against his, made me crave him. To feel his warmth and love; to know I was safe. I always felt safe in his arms. I felt everything around us, zone out and it was only me and him. Forever and always, as cliché as it may sound.

"Here, take this." Ira held my cold hand, as he placed his father's ring on my finger. Ira barely ever wore it, causing me to sometimes forget it even existed. Marmo told him it was the ring his father wore when he met Ira's mother. Ira's dad soon gave it to Marmo not long before he left. And now, it would only be seen only so little on Ira's index finger.

Without saying anything, I accepted the ring. I stared down at the ring, admiring its beauty. It was truly beautiful.

"I'm sure you're wondering why I'm giving you the ring." Ira whispered to me, "Well, I believe its lucky and brings love. My father found it when he met my mother and Marmo said they were so in love. Until they had me of course.."

I felt guilt pinging in my heart. It wasn't fair how Ira blamed himself and he was only and infant. It wasn't fair that even after constant reassurance, his mindset is still this way.

"I'll keep it safe, Ira. I promise."
