Chapter eight
Great. Just fantastic. I agree to help people and what do I get in return? Turned into a demon. Real award there. Even during my inner grumblings I noticed that everyone was staring at me. My turn for the vows. Yay!
"Umm. I can't really even put my feelings into words to be honest. I'm so happy to be the one here, marrying Chase, but then who wouldn't? I think I may just be the luckiest girl in the world, I've got my health, reasonable wealth and a totally gorgeous, caring husband. What more could I want?" As I said the last words I looked to Chase and gave a watery smile. I was bubbling, but I'm allowed its my wedding!
I had to admit demons threw pretty awesome parties. Everyone was up dancing, many people were roaring drunk and all the guests were enjoying themselves. That is how a wedding reception should be. Even I was having fun, and that I wasn't expecting.
It was reaching two in the morning and I was dozing on a seat at the table, I was just so darned tired I couldn't help myself. I actually felt like I was flying because I was so tiree. I looked up at the sky to feel the sun on my face when I saw the next best sight above me. Chase. He was looking down at me, staring intently, his eyes like to endless pools of warm fudge, his chocolate curls falling across his forehead.
"I'm just carrying you to bed darlin' you look like you could use some sleep" his voice was soft and silky, husky but smooth. The whole image was just so adorable! God, I must be more tired than I thought, I'm starting to sound... attached and I can't let that happen!
I'm sorry it took so long, I've been really busy and then I didn't know what to write but I promise to be more regular when updating. Happy new year!! x
