Her Demon Lord- chapter six

Chapter six

I was standing outside the double doors. It was almost time for my wedding. How strange that sounds. My wedding. My wedding. I repeat it a few times as if it just dawned on me. I'm going to be a wife, with a husband no less! I always thought that my dad would be there to walk me down the aisle, but he wasnt here. He wasnt allowed, being fallen. Risen. Whatever then term was. Redeemed! That's it! I had to take my mind of the fact that he wasn't around.

The doors opened, and the music started playing. The wedding march. How original. How normal. I could almost laugh at the idea of normalcy at this point. I slowly started walking down the aisle and not remember the fact that demons lined either sides. Great! I focused on Chase. He looked gorgeous. Oh shut up Carlene! Before I knew it I reached the bottom and I wanted to run in the other direction. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this couple together in holy matrimony" the 'priest' waffled on and on, while I focused on the fact that he said "holy". Ha! How could he say that about demons?

We stood there facing the 'priest' for what seems like hours before we got to the vows. Since when were we to right our own? Chase was looking at my face intently when he started talking.

" when you first walked into my kingdom, I couldn't even comprehend why someone like you wanted to be my wife. I know I set up this competition of sorts to find one, but never did I think I would find one quite like you. You seemed like something so innocent and pure, like you couldn't do anything wrong. I can't wait till this is all over and we've sealed the deal, because then I can get you home and make you my very own little she-demon." His eyes were shining as he said this last bit. But he said it gently to put his point across. He would be converting me into a demon. Oh god
