Dedicated to CrayCrayCanadain332 for being this story to my attention haha!
Zayn was laughing in the backseat, Harry echoing the sound. He leans his head against the window, his perfect hair not moving a centimeter before placing a hand on Harry's shoulder.
"You cracked so easy, Mate."
"That's because I thought the game was actually riding on Lou's football career." Harry pouts. Louis squeezes his hand.
"Zayn is just an idiot, Love." Lou smiles.
"Well, I know that now." Harry rolls his eyes. Zayn sighs deeply.
"But, seriously Harry. I had no idea you knew how to play." Harry shrugs his shoulders. "I was decent. I knew the rules. Good enough for a fill in."

Louis led the way to the Bloody Rat, swerving between the cars. Zayn followed closely behind, running through the play with Harry, basically telling him to follow Zayn or Louis and pass the ball to them. Harry was texting on his cell, bring up the rear.
"You any good Styles?" Harry looked up and shrugged his shoulder.
"I'm decent. I know the rules. Good enough for a fill in." Zayn took this as a reliable answer and opened the passenger door of the old truck. He stepped aside and motioned inside like someone opening a carriage door. Harry nodded and jumped in, scooting over into the middle. After squeezing in, Harry's body being squished but still managing to leave a centimeter of space from Louis's hip to his own, they set off.
The first ten minutes was quiet, and Harry hoped it would stay that way. But the Zayn started speaking and that went downhill.
"So Styles, tell us about yourself." He said, staring into the side mirror at himself.
"Um, there's not a lot to share."
"Come on, don't be so modest. I would love to hear more about this lovely Harold Styles." Harry grimaced at the nickname before nodding his head.
"Well, I just moved here from Cheshire, and this was the first time at a public school. Until recently I was home-schooled by my uncle until he has to move to America for work." Zayn nodded along as Harry spoke, Louis reminding quiet as he drove.
"How are you enjoy the luxury life of a high schooler?" Louis laughed lightly at Zayn's dramaticisim.
"Everyone seems nice and homework is lighter." This caused Zayn to scoff.
"Yea right, I get hours of homework,"
"My uncle is a calculus five college professor. He used to lay the studying pretty hard." Harry retaliated.
"Got any family here?"
"Just my mom and my sister, Gemma."
"Is she hot?" Zayn asked cheerfully. Harry scrunched up his face when Louis spoke,
"Zayn." he simply said, almost like a warning. Zayn laughed, "Well?"
"Um, I don't know." Harry didn't really find any woman hot, to be honest. But he wasn't going to say that. "I mean, my mom is pretty, I guess" He said shyly. This caused both boys to crack in waves of laughter. Harry tried to laugh along, but just stuck to a smile.
"Dude, I wasn't talking about your mom," Zayn fell into another fit. Finally Zayn managed to form some sort of composure before asking, "Where's your dad?" Harry looked down at his hand, twirling his fingers around his thumb. Louis took noticed immediately.
"He's still in Cheshire. We moved after my parent's divorce was finalized."
"My parents are divorced too," Louis said, getting into the turning lane.
"Look, you have something in common," Zayn said, hanging his arm out the window.
"I don't think a failed marriage is really a topic starter, in any conversation." Louis said sarcastically, sending him a glare over Harry's hanging head. Zayn mocked him and decided to stick to more basic questions, but Harry only responded with one or two quick words.
Shortly they arrived at a park, a soccer field peeking out from behind the swings. They all climbed out of the truck, Zayn waving and telling them he was going to meet up with rest of the team while they changed. Louis retrieving two bags from the truck bed. He hand a small black one to Harry.
"Here you can borrow Niall's stuff. There should be shorts and a tee in the bag." Harry nodded respectfully, reaching for the bag. The instant Louis let it go, the bag seemed to weigh a ton. The bag plummeted to the Earth, Harry following. Centimeters before impact, Louis reacted and grabbed the bag, placing a steady hand on the young boy's shoulder. He laughed before asking,
"You alright?" Harry nodded, curly falling out of their places. "Might want to sharpen up your reflects before getting on the field, yea?" Harry nodded once more, Louis smirking. The caramel hair teen gripped his hand around the straps of his footie bag and aimed for the restroom to change. Once Louis's eyes were off of Harry's, both men's face blushed. This is the most they've talked to one another. Louis isn't lying when he thought about how much he enjoyed listening to the younger one speak, the way he naturally drew out his words in a slow manner. Both his words and the spaced between, like we was thinking about everything he was saying, instead of letting anything fly out. Zayn could use some lessons from Harry.
It was about halfway when Louis realized Harry wasn't following. He stopped, raising his hand lightly, motioning for the younger one. Harry bit his bottom lips, but paused when he realized how weird it must have looked. If only he could have saw Louis grin. Harry jogged too catch up, the bag dragging him down. Once he reached Louis, he couldn't help but smile, the sun was doing wonders for his hair, making the caramel shine. Louis just nodded curtly, ripping the bag handle, and headed to the large stone building that held the respectively placed blue signs signaling which room was for whichever gender. A small silver water fountain sat between both doors, a single weak pressured line of water constantly flowing from the spout as if a ghost was holding down the bar. Louis opened the door, holding it ajar for Harry to walk in.
The inside was bland, white walls and white floor that was smeared with mud and grass. There were four sinks and three stalls resting on the other side of the two urinals. The room was empty, leaving Harry and Louis alone again. Louis walked to the sink, setting the black bag down in the caved in bowl. Before Harry even started the process of registering the figure in front of him, Louis stripped his black tank top over his head. Harry blushed ferociously as his eyes met Louis's in the mirror. He cleared his throat and announced he needed to use the restroom, and charged into one of the stalls. Louis chuckled and continued to dress, quickly changing out of his jeans and into some short black soccer shorts and a red and black numbered shirt, a large eight printed on the front and his last name pinned on the back.
Meanwhile Harry has been watching the ordeal in the stall, trying not to be a creep.
"I'll be on the field," Louis informed after he put him normal clothes in the bag. Harry nodded but then he remember he was hidden behind the steel door and let out a quiet okay. The main door opened and shut with a quiet hum, leaving Harry to change into the stall, his conscious too afraid to change out in the open, as he feared someone would walk in.
Louis was already stretched out when Harry joined, the shorts reaching in the middle of his thighs and the shirt raising a few times. Louis was shocked completely when Harry approached. Every day Lou saw Harry, the young boy wore long sleeved shirts, and now he saw why. His left arm was scattered with multiple black tattoos. Louis raised his eye brows, he wasn't judging of course, since he had a few himself, but Harry just didn't seem like the tattoo type. Finding out this information made Louis want to know if Harry had anymore tattoos hidden somewhere. He spot in mid-thought and shook his head, what the hell? Of course, Zayn soon got his comments in, as usual.
"Wow, Styles! Loving the tats mate," He complemented. Harry blushed, running his hand over the ink. "You have to come with me next time I hit up Kynlee's Tattoo Parlor." Harry half-heartily answered as his attention was focused on the other side of the field. He gulped deeply when he took in the other team for the first time. Each were older than he thought, college age at least. They were all lined up in an organized stretch, lunging and reaching. The tall lad pointed to them,
"So you are the barmpots you were speaking of?" his voice hushed. Zayn looked over, placing his hand over eyes and squinting, even though they were only a few yards away.
"Oh those little guys, yea. Have no fear Harry!" Zayn gripped his shoulder, "They are a lot slower than they look, probably the old age." He chuckled. He released Harry, and headed over to the other teammates. Harry nodded a few times to no one in particular. But Louis noticed, excusing himself from Trevor, who was ranting about his girlfriend. Trevor didn't even notice his absence, just shifting to the next person.
"Don't worry, it's just for fun." Louis told Harry, whom nodded again. "Winning would still be awesome," he laughed to ease the tense air. The green-eyed boy glanced at Louis with a smile. "Ready?"
Harry's shoulder weakly lifted. Louis was tempted to pat him on the back, his hand even raising to the air, but he second guessed it, running this fingers through his hair to play it off. Harry tore his attention from the opposing team and declined his head to give Louis a simple look, his mouth forming a mere curve at the corners. Louis gave him a cheerful thumbs up, and when Harry chuckled at him, he felt like his chest was going to explode from embarrassment. Louis looked away and started to jog onto the field.
So I decided that I will bring this back haha!
Please let me know if you are confused by the time jumps!
Sweet dreams, my shippers!
