A.N: Chapter five.

Dahlia POV: When I get to the stadium. I go sit with Fred in the teacher's box and watch them all try out for their different houses with a sense of pride and nervousness. I definitely prefer how I tried out, getting Nevil's remembrall from Draco in front of two houses in the first year. A lot fewer people and a lot fewer nerves. I wouldn't know what to do if I had to do this. I am really only watching James and Sirius trying to take in as much as we can. Fred is watching everyone. James is the captain and he along with the captains in the other house all get to use a tower to conduct the tryouts. It is interesting to watch all of the captain's tactics. It is easy to realise that Sirius is helping James with the tryouts in the middle of things while James observes and Remus and Peter aren't even paying attention to Gryffindor and are spying on the other houses instead.

When it is over we walk down from the stands. "Dahlia! Fred!" we hear our names yelled. I sigh while Fred chuckles.

"When, I said we could be friends I was so hoping Sirius would ignore it," I whisper to him.

"You encouraged them to see us as friend love," Fred chuckles before swinging his arm around my shoulder and walking over to them instead of the field.

"Hi," I say with a fake smile.

Sirius points over his shoulder to the castle"What are you guys doing the castle is that way?"

"We were going to have some fun flying," I reply nonchalantly.

"I am going to practise with the snitch so we can have seekers games, while Dahlia just flies," Fred tells them.

"You're a good seeker than Dahlia," James states curiously assessing me in what I can see is captain mode I can recognise it from Oliver. I know Fred knows the same from the twinkle of mischief in his eyes. That twinkle never bodes well for someone and I think this time it is me.

"Yeah," I shrug.

"She's amazing," Fred boasts, "Got onto the team first year at our school. You should stay and watch, it's nothing like you've ever seen."

I blush and hit his arm lightly. "I think you're biased love," I tell him. He just laughs.

"Maybe," he murmurs against my cheek before kissing it making me blush brighter and smile. "But you should stay and watch she really is good," he tells them seriously.

"Sure. Now I'm interested," James says enthusiastically. Remus rolls his eyes but I can tell he is curious as well.

"Right, Love I'm going to sit with the boys you do your thing," he tells me giving me a kiss before walking back to the stand with the boys and the few stragglers who have decided to watch when they realise I am going to fly. I take my disguised firebolt out of my pocket and enlarge it. I get on and fly over to the boys. I land next to them and take off my cloak throwing at Fred.

"Forgot to give you that," I explain. He nods and I fly over to the centre of the pitch.

"Alright love, give it a twenty-second head start with the first five seconds eyes closed," he calls over to me. I go up and down on my broom as a sigh of nodding. He yells when he lets it go. After five seconds I open my eyes. I scan the area. I hear Fred yell "Go!"

I speed off looking for the snitch. I catch it five times in half an hour. When I get back to the boys after the last time. I barely notice the other people that had stayed to watch as I am so happy.

"Okay, you're great!" Sirius exclaims.

"That's nothing. Why don't you do your speciality love," Fred suggests grinning with a slight bounce. I smirk and nod giving him a brief kiss before getting on and soaring into the sky. I ride higher and higher until I can barely make out the castle. I then look around at the sky taking in the moment of peacefulness before diving downwards. I have to cling to the broom tightly so it won't escape my grip. I close my eyes enjoying the rush of the air and freedom. I open my eyes and start to see the quidditch pitch. I keep diving down. It is free-falling at this point and if I didn't have the broom I would be worried. I smile brightly from the adrenaline rush. When the boys see me I know as I hear them yell for Fred to do something. He does.
