-Izuku POV-

I sat on the floor with my notebook in front of me as I sat alone and waited for Shoto to wake up.

Even though I'm now protected in some ways by the living I still find myself an outcast.

I know that I should have some feeling of hope for a better dead life, but I know it is only temporary.

The moment I am not of use they will kill me and I can't say that I would mind.

Sadly that is something I hope for. I wonder if I will get my memories back once I am dead dead? Is that even possible? I think I'll just be left with the memories that I have from the people I have gotten to know.

I guess I'll have to wait and find out. However, I won't be able to let anyone know what happens to me.

I wonder what the living people actually think about me.

"Hello Izuku. What are you writing about this morning?" I heard the emotionless voice say from next to me.

"H-hi Shosho! H-here." Instead of trying to explain I just gave him the page to read. I watched as his lips curved downwards a very small amount showing he was displeased with what he was reading.

"Why would you think that we would kill you again? You may be different and yes you are a walking dead guy, but you aren't like them. I guess I could understand you being okay with a final death but even though we have only known you a day we would still miss you. Also if you want to find out what the others actually think about you then let's go for a walk. I can lend you some clothing to change into first then we can head out. We can pick up some food for you to while we are out."

Before I could refuse Shoto was leading me back up the stairs and to his room. I stood still by his door as he walked to his closet and pulled out a shirt and pants for me to wear. "We can meet back in the living room when you finish." I nodded and before I could do anything else I was left to change.

I clumsily changed before almost tripping down the stairs to meet up with Shoto. "Are you ready?" I patted my satchel and then nodded. Shoto reached his hand out to mine shyly and offered to hold my hand which I gladly accepted.

"Wh-where we going Shosho?"

"Just through the camp. We've been able to expand it due to pushing the zombies back quite a bit. I figured I could show you around and we could stop by the gardens so we can pick some fresh food for you ."

"Otay Shosho!" I began to childishly swing our hands back and forth. I liked this physical contact, it felt nice. Even though I was dead this kind of made me feel like I was still alive.

"Hey Zuku we are gonna stop by the guy's Momo and I introduced to you after we grab your food alright? Mr. Hizashi just wants to ask you some questions."

"Otay." I think I smiled but I'm not too sure. My smile began to leave when I noticed how the people were looking at us.

"Hey brat why is that monster in here? Let alone why are you holding hands with it." I started to let go of Shoto's hand but he only held it tighter and glared at the ashy blue-haired man that had spoken. I just looked down at my feet.

"For your information, he is here because he isn't like the other zombies. Izuku is more human than he is a zombie, so it would be great if you treated him as if he were still alive. Besides that, Momo has been carrying a pistol on her so if she finds out you called Zuku an 'it' and 'monster' be prepared to have a hole in your foot. Now if you'd excuse us we are just walking around then we are stopping at the garden to get food for Izuku." Shoto looked at me now and I found myself looking at him too. "Are you ready to go now Zuku?"
